Three year old boy allegedly snorts cocaine (photos)

A three year old boy was photographed while supposedly snorting cocaine and the image was uploaded on Facebook with the caption: 'Mum and dad’s little junkie'. Social media users have since condemned the parents of the boy saying child service authorities should take the boy away from his parents.

The picture above shows him looking directly into the camera, ready to sniff a white, powdery substance believed to be cocaine.
However the boy's family from Sindel in eastern Bulgaria’s Varna Province have assured people that it was all a joke and that the boy took flour and not cocaine.

Mrs Nadezhda Nuri, the boy's mother said:
"My mother first saw the [picture of the] children and called me. I couldn’t have done such a thing, I don’t even know how to write.
"My daughter must have taken the photo and uploaded it online. I can't do it because I can't even read or write, never mind use a computer."

Her daughter, who uploaded the photo, says the family joke around with taking often.
"I was only joking, I got the idea from Facebook. I have never seen real drugs. I once saw a woman on Facebook making lines with flour and then snorting it."

Let's Catch Up

Hey.

Im sitting down to blog considering I’ve completely lost my voice and if I tried to voice my feels it’d come out as a croak.

 It’s been a while hasn’t it?

If you don't follow me over on social media (here and here) then you wouldn’t have known that I’d spent the last week in  Vegas for my Birthday. It was a blast and to blame for the afore mentioned lack of voice. Delayed hangover probs.

Point numero uno. I really miss blogging. Although Im sure you’ve heard me wail that before in the last 6 months and are like GOD LILY YOU ARE SO FLAKEY. But bare with me here.

I’ll openly admit I’ve gone off blogs in the last year or so. I don’t know why, I think I finally  *got* youtube and now I spend my days watching kids toy demos and watching people do fast food reviews in their cars. Yeah the weird part of Youtube.

But there is still a soft spot in my heart for blogging and after a quick refresh of my Bloglovin feed, out with the old and in with the new I feel a bit more inspired too actually tap out some things.

Part of it is the fear of coming back and part of it just feeling like Im not that good at it? Im no Wordsworth and my copy could be greatly improved but at the same time it’s cathartic and nice to just put some words on the screen. Plus I can type from behind my screen in my jim jams pretending Im looking FAB even though Im currently wearing a Monument Valley Hoodie, ugly off white socks and my Christmas Jim Jams.

I’ve been feeling p. content recently. I feel like I’ve finally worked out all the kinks in my life and feel at a place where I can move forward and most importantly upwards. I had a wobbly few months earlier in the year where I thought my anxiety was going to get the best of me but after a few deep breathes and some Beyonce on repeat I feel like myself again.

Im generally a pretty self aware and self assured person. The kind of person who can support themselves and doesn't need other people to make them feel good. Most of the time I can get myself out of funks and feeling like poop but y’know those periods where the littlest thing can send you off on a path of self destruction? Yeah one of those?

I think that having down periods is part of being a human and it’s perfectly normal to not always be 100% on it. Social media makes us feel like we have to be up and at ‘em all the time but it’s cool to have a few days to yourself focusing on your own mental health every now and again.

Stopping myself from overworking myself and stressing myself out has really changed my ability to cope with the work I have on my plate and the things I do and thats cool.

Uh, What else. Im not sure where to go from here. A lil life update, well Im in the process of buying a house. I don’t really want to move from my flat as I do love it but I know I should be investing my money in property rather than sitting on it waiting for a rainy day.

Why isn’t stuff like this taught at school? I’ve read so much about house buying and mortgages I don’t even know who I am anymore. I feel like a kid who was accidentally allowed to grow up and do all these adult things even though I have no idea.

Other than that my life is back to it’s overwhelmingly self. Which to be honest is when Im most happy. I like working on my own personal projects and videos and doing simple things like going for chips on the beach. I've learnt to focus on me time and doing the things I want to do rather than keeping up with the Joneses.

I’ve tapped out a few more posts for the rest of the week today but who knows how long this burst will last. If you’re still here then cheers for sticking around. You’re the real MVP. Ta x

FFG Beauty: Brilliant Dry Shampoo for frequent flyers in a pinch

Here's the background story. I'd just come in on a red-eye and I was in Heathrow airport awaiting my connecting flight, to another european country, when I happen to catch my reflection while passing through customs. There's no way to sugarcoat this. My hair looked like I'd been dragged through hedge backwards, twice. My connecting flight was for a meeting that wasn't the sort of arrangement that would condone me looking like a red hot mess. So, I had one hour to kill and an agenda to find something to run through the hair that would save the day. The usual suspects were on offer at Boots, but I wasn't feeling a cheap and cheerful solution. Instead, I went in search of a salon at Heathrow. Again no luck. Just as I was getting ready to visit the lounge loos and throw my hair in a chignon, I spotted a could-be lifesaver.

In the duty-free section of terminal 5, there was an Aveda pop-up that was advertising a new revolutionary dry shampoo called Shampure. At this point, I'm desperate. So I rush in and just about knock the sales lady over as I reach for the bottle- she was in the middle of showcasing a product for a perspective client and the heavenly scent had me hoping this was the dry shampoo she had in hand. Anyone familiar with the Aveda brand knows the products are sensationally surreal and fragrant. The Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo was in fact the product being demonstrated, and I swear I would have bought this based no the smell alone. In reality, it worked a treat.

I spent around £25 (if I remember correctly in duty free) and marched myself off to the bathroom to apply and pray. Oh Aveda, I owe you big style for saving the day. This stuff was genius. I sprayed the powder onto my roots and put my head under the hand dryer on the wall. After flipping the hair back up and running a brush through the former mop, I could have easily fooled myself into thinking I had found a salon for a proper blow dry. And... my hair had the most heavenly smell. In a nutshell, I'm grateful and a true convert. I love this stuff, so naturally had to share.

If you're in the market for a new dry shampoo with pizazz, not to mention 25 pure flower and plant essences, give this product a go. It's an in-between washes savior.

Baby Blue Jeans

AMERICAN EAGLE TOM GIRL JEANS*

So I've barely taken these jeans off since I got them. Seriously these things have become my absolute go-to. They are the new and improved Tom Girl Jeans from American Eagle which they so kindly sent over to me are probably my current favourite jeans. First things first. Whoa, blue jeans? Lily have you gone mad? Nope just embracing something else for a change. AND I LIKE IT.

I don't think I've worn blue jeans in forever ever, FOREVER EVER. I cant remember buying my last pair and I could easily quote when I bought my last pair of black one's (last week). I think I put myself in a little box where blue jeans felt off brand (gotta keep things on brand 24/7) and not me so I never even looked at them. Not sure why I came to the conclusion that Lily Melrose doesn't do blue jeans but low and behold there I am in blue jeans.

I'd love them in a even lighter wash and even a grey or black too. Pls American Eagle. Make my jean dreams come true!

50 recipes for brunch at home this weekend!

Brunch recipes
Oh, how I love a Bank Holiday weekend. A three day weekend means three opportunities for brunch and in what universe is that a bad thing? Pancakes, french toast, eggs royale or good old fashioned banana bread... I'll take it alll. And, well, on most brunch days it's an "ordering" situation. I DO NOT often take on the "brunch at home" idea, but times they are a' changing'.

I'm what is considered an "adult," at this age, and us adults apparently love to entertain for twelve at home. Yes, this lies in my future. So, I decided to do a little research and a little research turned into a full on development project for some of the best brunch recipes to create at home while entertaining. Fifty sounded like a good round number, because who doesn't like options, right? If you too are entertaining this Bank Holiday weekend, you may find this a rather useful list. Check it out... the whole thing's on Pinterest and they're all pretty easy to follow recipes (or so I'm hoping).
