Three year old boy allegedly snorts cocaine (photos)

A three year old boy was photographed while supposedly snorting cocaine and the image was uploaded on Facebook with the caption: 'Mum and dad’s little junkie'. Social media users have since condemned the parents of the boy saying child service authorities should take the boy away from his parents. The picture above shows him looking directly into the camera, ready to sniff a white, powdery substance believed to be cocaine. However the boy's family from Sindel in eastern Bulgaria’s Varna Province have assured people that it was all a joke and that the boy took flour and not cocaine. Mrs Nadezhda Nuri, the boy's mother said: "My mother first saw the [picture of the] children and called me. I couldn’t have done such a thing, I don’t even know how to write. "My...

Let's Catch Up

Hey. Im sitting down to blog considering I’ve completely lost my voice and if I tried to voice my feels it’d come out as a croak.   It’s been a while hasn’t it? If you don't follow me over on social media (here and here) then you wouldn’t have known that I’d spent the last week in  Vegas for my Birthday. It was a blast and to blame for the afore mentioned lack of voice. Delayed hangover probs. Point numero uno. I really miss blogging. Although Im sure you’ve heard me wail that before in the last 6 months and are like GOD LILY YOU ARE SO FLAKEY. But bare with me here. I’ll openly admit I’ve gone off blogs in the last year or so. I don’t know why, I think I finally  *got* youtube and now I spend my days watching kids toy demos and watching people do fast food reviews...

FFG Beauty: Brilliant Dry Shampoo for frequent flyers in a pinch

Here's the background story. I'd just come in on a red-eye and I was in Heathrow airport awaiting my connecting flight, to another european country, when I happen to catch my reflection while passing through customs. There's no way to sugarcoat this. My hair looked like I'd been dragged through hedge backwards, twice. My connecting flight was for a meeting that wasn't the sort of arrangement that would condone me looking like a red hot mess. So, I had one hour to kill and an agenda to find something to run through the hair that would save the day. The usual suspects were on offer at Boots, but I wasn't feeling a cheap and cheerful solution. Instead, I went in search of a salon at Heathrow. Again no luck. Just as I was getting ready to visit the lounge loos and throw my hair in a chignon,...

Baby Blue Jeans

AMERICAN EAGLE TOM GIRL JEANS* So I've barely taken these jeans off since I got them. Seriously these things have become my absolute go-to. They are the new and improved Tom Girl Jeans from American Eagle which they so kindly sent over to me are probably my current favourite jeans. First things first. Whoa, blue jeans? Lily have you gone mad? Nope just embracing something else for a change. AND I LIKE IT. I don't think I've worn blue jeans in forever ever, FOREVER EVER. I cant remember buying my last pair and I could easily quote when I bought my last pair of black one's (last week). I think I put myself in a little box where blue jeans felt off brand (gotta keep things on brand 24/7) and not me so I never even looked at them. Not sure why I came to the conclusion that Lily Melrose doesn't...

50 recipes for brunch at home this weekend!

Oh, how I love a Bank Holiday weekend. A three day weekend means three opportunities for brunch and in what universe is that a bad thing? Pancakes, french toast, eggs royale or good old fashioned banana bread... I'll take it alll. And, well, on most brunch days it's an "ordering" situation. I DO NOT often take on the "brunch at home" idea, but times they are a' changing'. I'm what is considered an "adult," at this age, and us adults apparently love to entertain for twelve at home. Yes, this lies in my future. So, I decided to do a little research and a little research turned into a full on development project for some of the best brunch recipes to create at home while entertaining. Fifty sounded like a good round number, because who doesn't like options, right? If you too are entertaining...

FFG Eats: Chick'n'Sours

You might remember a few weeks ago I posted a 60 second restaurant review about the best fried chicken in London. It was from a little place called Eggbreak, which has developed a cult like following in the past few months. The word is out - Fried Chicken is the new burger here in London. You most certainly didn't hear it here first, but I'm helping in spreading the good word. After doing a little digging at Eggbreak, I discovered the chef behind the amazing chicken in Notting Hill actually had his own restaurant in East London. I think you know what happened next. Yes, we made the long journey East. Ok, it isn't that long a journey, but for us West Londoners, it feels like a lifetime. But I'll tell ya, it was well worth the journey. We rocked up to Chick'n'Sours - the restaurant in question...

Buying the Trend: 75 off-the-shoulder tops and dresses (cash, cheque and credit)

The world has gone off-the-shoulder crazy over the past 24 months, and, yes, I'm including myself as part of the "world" when it comes to this never dying adoration of a style. I'm pretty sure 8 out of the last ten of my style moments have referenced the trend in some way, shape or form. So, I thought it time to do a roundup for those of you looking to buy into the look. How about 75 different off-the-shoulder tops and dresses for every price point from 9.99 and above? Yeah, this was well worth the research. Although, I must say in researching this trend I have now had to just about take out a second mortgage. Yikes! Enjoy!  Under 100 // JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. The art of building your own handbag with Wilbur & Gussie

We live in a world where customisation is key. It isn't enough anymore to have a great "it" bag - it's now all about having a bag exclusive to you. Fashion brands the world over are trying to find a way to bring this personalised service to their clientele in every which way from monogramming to masterminding the bag yourself from scratch. Now, I feel it's my personal responsibility to keep up with all these delightful trends and that's how I found myself in the hot seat with Wilbur & Gussie last week in London.  Wilbur & Gussie have just launched a whole new bag experience, appropriately named "Build a Bag." Clients can come into the newly opened shop on New Quebec Street to undertake the rather easy and very rewarding task of putting their own personal stamp on a clutch bag....

Are you ready for the Fried Chicken Waffle Burger?

Since I got into the whole game of reviewing food, I've put some interesting things in my mouth over time. But none so surprising, not to mention calorific, as the Fried Chicken Waffle Burger.  Now, it must be said that Bird Restaurants were discovered the way most are these days - through social media. I found myself flipping through London eating tags and came across this monstrosity of mouthwatering goodness. It called to me like a bright shiny penny. My first attempt at grabbing such a burger ended in disaster. I made my way to Islington to sit down and add another five pounds to my ever growing arse and I was turned away from moment one. It seems Bird has a bit of a different time schedule when it comes to game days in the area - check this before making the journey. They not only...

Go Big or Go Home!

REDKEN HIGH RISE VOLUME SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER* Now that my hair is somewhat on the mend (although I'm actually getting my hair done next week, so HELLO BLEACH I'VE MISSED U BOO) I was in the market for a new shampoo and conditioner. While moisture is all well and good it's way too heavy for the current state of my hair. Pureology Hydrate will forever be the key to keeping my hair in good condition, I just think we should see other people. I've been using two different product ranges from Redken recently to keep my locks in check - One being Redken Beach Envy which is v. lovely but I think I've firmly decided on loving Redken High Rise Volume a little bit more. It's kinda hard to describe it, it sort of lifts the roots and gives natural volume without making the hair feel like a bird's...
