Lea Michele and the cast of Glee dedicate their Teen Choice Award wins to Cory Monteith

'I want to personally thank you': Lea Michele tearfully thanked the fans as she accepted an award for top comedy actress at the Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.
They lost their beloved co-star Cory Monteith to a drug overdose earlier this summer.
And the cast of Glee was honoured with an award for choice TV show comedy at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
Show star Amber Riley thanked fans for their unwavering devotion as she cast are returning to the screen this fall for their fifth season without show breakout Cory, who played Finn Hudson.
'I want to personally thank you': Lea Michele tearfully thanked the fans as she accepted an award for top comedy actress at the Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. 

'Although we lost someone that we really love, that you guys love too, we are very fortunate to come back [for the next season],' she said.
'Cory was like a brother to us and like a dad, and you know he was always ready to sign an autograph for a fan -- he loved you gleeks and he loves his fans.
'So on behalf of our brother and our classmate, we accept this award,' Amber continued.

Lea Michele, who won the award for choice TV comedy actress, tearfully took to the microphone to pay tribute to her former boyfriend. 
'I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you and tell everyone out there how much all of your love and support has meant to me over these very difficult past few weeks,' the 26-year-old said.
'Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world.'

She continued: 'I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory, and for all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did. I promise that with your love, we'll get through this together.
'He was very special to me and to the world, and we were all lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart.
'And whether you knew him personally or as Finn Hudson, Cory reached out and he became part of all of our hearts -- and that's where he'll stay forever.'

Monteith, who co-hosted the Teen Choice Awards in 2010, was found dead July 13 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
An autopsy revealed the 31-year-old actor died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol.
The show also took home life-sized awards for breakout star Blake Jenner and male scene stealer, Chord Overstreet.
Glee star Darren Criss also served as a co-host for the telecast alongside Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale.

Ultimate Choice winner Ashton Kutcher used his platform to deliver an impassioned speech to the mostly under 20 set -- many of whom were just born when he first landed on television in 1998 in the hit comedy That '70s Show.
The Jobs star joked that the achievement -- his 16th board in his two decade career -- felt like he was receiving 'an old guy award.'
Ashton then got serious, offering to his many learned lessons on opportunity, potential and life in general.
'I've never had a job in my life that I was better than,' the 35-year-old said, recounting his first job as a dishwasher before breaking into modelling in his late teens.
'I was always just lucky to have a job. .. I never quit my job till I had my next job. So opportunity looked a lot like work.'

The 19-year-old first insisted that he wasn't going to partake in the popular dance move, insisting that his tight pants might not be up to the task.
But he gladly joined in the fun, and later Darren and Lucy brought out Guinness World Record officiators to count the entire audience's effort.
