Today would have been her 28th birthday but instead it serves as the date that Amy Winehouse’s final recording is released.
The single entitled Body and Soul was recorded by the Back To Black singer with Tony Bennett and it comes off his latest album Duets II.
The video, which can be seen below, sees the pair perform together behind a piano and Amy looks the picture of health as she belts out the notes to the tune.
Amy is seen smiling playing with her hair and laughing with the corner in between the singing session.
It serves as a tribute to the singer but also a reminder of her great talent and the huge loss not only to her family but also to the music industry.
All proceeds of the single will go to the Amy Winehouse foundation which also launches today.
The charity's mission reads: 'To
Support charities and organisations undertaking charitable activities in
both the United Kingdom and abroad who help, support, or care for young
people – especially but not exclusively those who are in need by reason
of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.'
Tonight an emotional interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan and Amy’s father Mitch will air in America.
Mitch speaks about coming to terms
with her untimely death as well as detailing how he blames Blake
Fielder-Civil for introducing her to drugs.
He said: 'I was sickened and I did everything in my power to stop the relationship. But she loved Blake.'
Mitch also recalled one incident where he had told Fielder-Civil, who he claims started Amy on cocaine and heroin, 'Leave my daughter alone, you're killing my daughter'.
Amy died at her home in Camden, North London on July 23.
Toxicology results from an autopsy released by the family late last month showed no illegal substances and some alcohol, were found in her body, although it is not clear if the alcohol played contributed to her death.
