Sami Khedira's £23m move to Arsenal 'imminent' despite interest from Chelsea

Arsenal are set to beat Chelsea to the signing of German international Sami Khedira from Real Madrid with Spanish newspapers reporting that a £23million deal has already been agreed.
According to Sport, Khedira will sign a four-year deal at the Emirates after it emerged that Chelsea were also interested in the 27-year-old.
Contract talks between Khedira's representatives and Real Madrid broke down and they are now set to sell rather than let him go for free next summer.

Arsenal have already splashed £30million to bring Chile international Alexis Sanchez to north London from Barcelona, and are on the verge of signing Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho worked with Khedira during his reign at Real Madrid and the Portuguese manager is keen on the defensive midfielder but looks set to miss out.
Khedira missed out on the World Cup final on Sunday night after he injured himself in the warm-up before Germany beat Argentina 1-0 at the Maracana.
