Lynsey de Paul: The Seventies songbird who couldn't find love





SHE MAY have gained plenty of attention for her pert blonde features – one TV presenter called her ‘the Basque Separatist’ because of the singer-songwriter’s penchant for tightly-waisted dresses – but Lynsey de Paul, who had a string of hits in the Seventies including Sugar Me, was not always so confident of her charms.
