She plays Sleeping Beauty Aurora in
upcoming Disney movie, Maleficent and Elle Fanning, 16, had her
fairytale moment when she turned up at a private ceremony for the movie
on Thursday.
The actress attended the prestigious event, which was held at London's Kensington Palace in aid of Great Ormond Street hospital.
Also attending the event were Angelina Jolie, 38, who plays the evil horned fairy in the movie, her husband Brad Pitt, 50 and actor Sam Riley who plays a character called Diaval.
Elle looked lovely in a lemon brocade strapless dress by the designer Georges Hobeika. The elegant number is from the Fall 2013 collection.
Wearing her hair in a striking up-do, she placed an ornate flower decoration on top of her hairstyle which had a ribbon detail at the back.
The teenager let her natural beauty shine through and wore hardly any make-up, save for a dusting of pink eyeshadow, looking age appropriate for the evening.
