Espadrilles have been the foundation of any
descent capsule holiday wardrobe for years, think Jane Birkin in
high-waisted denim flares. But this season the breathable, comfy beach
staple has been given a high fashion make-over, with Chanel leading the
way. Chanel’s simple take on this seasonal classic had the fashion world chomping at the bit for months before they became available, and since their release it’s been nigh impossible to find a pair (trust us, we’ve tried).
But the world of celebrity, as we know, is a whole different ball game and it comes as no surprise to see the likes of Alexa Chung, Kourtney Kardashian and Miranda Kerr flaunting their new summer purchases for all to see.
