Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh, 23, are 'over the moon' as it's confirmed they are expecting first child

Peter Andre and his girlfriend Emily MacDonagh are expecting their first child together, due early next year.
A spokeswoman confirmed the news telling the MailOnline: 'It is true that they are expecting a baby, they are over the moon.'
Rumours began circulating that Emily, 23, who has just completed her medical degree, was expecting after Peter, 40,  was seen placing his hand lovingly on her stomach at an event in June.

A source close to the pair told The Sun: ‘They absolutely adore each other, so having a baby together feels completely natural.
‘Emily has just finished her degree at Bristol University and has passed all her exams. She still wants to have a career as a doctor, so it is very unlikely she will be a stay at home mum.’
The couple have been dating for around a year after meeting through her father, a surgeon, who operated on Peter in 2010 to remove kidney stones.

Peter already has two children; son Junior, eight, and daughter Princess Tiaamii, six, from his marriage to Katie Price.
Coincidentally, Katie is also pregnant by her current husband, Kieran Hayler, and due to give birth in the next few months.
In just May of this year Peter denied that the couple were thinking about children just yet in an interview with new! magazine.
He said: ‘It’s too early for that sort of talk! Emily’s still got a year to go at uni, but you never know what’s going to happen, do you? We sort of reserve those conversations at the moment!’

Peter recently said he believes his relationship with Emily works so well because she's not a celebrity.
He explained: ‘It's good to be with someone outside of the industry. It's so nice to be with someone who's just different. You know when they say that opposites attract? I never understood what that meant. 
‘But now I know it doesn't mean looks, it could mean in a situation like this. We're so opposite in what we do but yet we connect.’
