Justin Bieber's tattoo artist Bang Bang discusses inking the pop superstar while on a 'shaking' private flight

He has been flying high since he signed his first record deal at only 14 years of age.

But Justin Bieber recently got some rather unconventional work done while actually 40,000 feet above the ground.

The 20-year-old pop star got two religious symbols tattooed while on a private flight from Panama to Canada last month.

The new body modifications were etched by famed artist Bang Bang, the man behind Rihanna and Katy Perry's body art, just days after Justin was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI) and drag racing in Miami.

He told the New York Daily News: 'It was really difficult. The plane was shaking, so it's like trying to do a tattoo while you're driving over rocks ... and so I have to compensate and be so, so accurate.
'I've gotta admit that my adrenaline was through the roof. I didn't anticipate it would be so difficult.'
The tattoo artist added: 'This was the most difficult tattoo I've ever done for sure.'
