TV personality Katie Hopkins has come under fire for ignoring Peaches Geldof’s death.
The prolific tweeter is known for her public disagreements with the 25-year-old who passed away on Monday.
Instead of acknowledging the tragedy she simply wrote: ‘Good morning followers & detractors - how are we today? Maria Miller is STILL on the run. When I say run, I mean walking around The Commons.’
Unsurprisingly her blasé comment left Twitter users shocked and it didn’t take them long to comment on their disgust.
Follower Caroline Mccormack started the comments, writing: ‘@KTHopkins have you an ounce of sympathy in your nasty little heart today?’
While Nigel Murphy added: ‘@KTHopkins I would really love to see something of a statement showing some sympathy for Peaches’
And Amandeep Setra said: ‘So after everything that happened yesterday @KTHopkins first tweet of the day doesn't even acknowledge the tragedy - shocking! #PeachesRIP.’
However the comments failed to deter Katie, who continued tweeting and retweeting irrelevant remarks.
Peaches grew in popularity following an appearance on This Morning alongside former Apprentice star Katie in November of last year.
