Essex, or at the very least a
contrived variation of it, descended on London’s Shoe Lane as the TOWIE
wrap party kicked off on Wednesday evening, but one prominent
cast-member appeared to be missing as the usual suspects filed into its
Kanaloa Club for a late night send off.
Indeed, Lauren Pope was notable in her absence having swapped the staged theatrics of her ITV2 show for the real thing and a night out in the West End, where she made an appearance at the Palladium for a performance of new musical I Can’t Sing.
The 31-year-old appeared to favour Harry Hill’s talent show parody ahead of a night out with her old pals – just days after viewers saw her emotional fall out with Chloe Sims over a romance with TOWIE lothario Mario Falcone.
A TOWIE source told MailOnline: 'If you watched the show it's clear why she didn't attend (the wrap party). Lauren probably felt that she didn't want to attend with Chloe there.'
Catching the eye in a midnight blue top and floral patterned pencil skirt, Lauren made her way inside the Central London venue, a cropped leather jacket casually draped across her slender shoulders.
The TV personality added to her ensemble with a pair of strappy sandals, while a tasteful Yves Saint Lauren clutch rounded things off.
Lauren had previously turned heads as she made her way down Argyll Street – a mere stone’s throw from Oxford Circus tube station – after leaving the Aqua Bar, where she’d enjoyed a drink before taking in the show.
