Beyonce did not step in during her
sister’s attack on Jay Z in an elevator because she either agreed with
Solange or wanted to protect her own ‘brand’, according to body language
analysis of the footage.
The incident occured as the trio left the Met Gala after party in New York last Monday, with a video of the fight being leaked to TMZ.
Beyonce, 32, showed little reaction to the fight - but body language expert Judi James has told MailOnline there is likely to be a good reason for this.

She adds: 'It suggests that Beyonce either agreed with her sister's point of view or she was completely obsessed with protecting her brand.
'The singer's lack of physical reaction implies that she has in all likelihood witnessed this type of behaviour from Solange before - which is why she doesn't look particularly shocked.'
The 27-year-old was caught on surveillance camera lashing out wildly at her brother-in-law, 44, with both her arms and her legs, while her sister stood beside them looking curiously impassive.
The famous family were in an elevator descending from a soiree that followed the annual fashion fest at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Judi notes that Jay Z behaved impeccably with his calm reaction to the outburst and Beyonce's calm exterior suggests she trusts that her husband won't hit her sibling back - no matter what.
'Beyonce is sure that her husband won't react which is why she is comfortable not to intervene. He behaves like a gentleman, only grabbing Solange's foot in order to protect himself from her kicks.
'Half-way through the clip, the singer does stand in between the warring pair, which is probably more to stop her sister getting hurt, rather than to protect Jay Z.'
Judi believes that the singer is intent on protecting her image and is intent of making sure that she doesn't come unruffled.

What it all means: Body language expert Judi
James told MailOnline that Beyonce had her reasons for remaining
passive as her sister Solange attacked her husband Jay Z in a lift after
the Met Gala on Monday
'There is a kind of law among siblings that you protect them and Beyonce's lack of reaction is amazing,' she says. She adds: 'It suggests that Beyonce either agreed with her sister's point of view or she was completely obsessed with protecting her brand.

'However,
it is extremely strange that Beyonce makes such a little attempt to
calm down her sister despite the volatile nature of the situation with
two large men in the small lift.'Half-way through the clip, the singer does stand in between the warring pair, which is probably more to stop her sister getting hurt, rather than to protect Jay Z.'
