Actress Katie Holmes is known to be a fitness fanatic and has the figure to show for it. Wearing a nipped-in gown at a recent film festival, she displayed the neatest of waists.

The 35-year-old mother-of-one once ran the New York Marathon and goes for early-morning runs.
She does two or three sessions a week of SoulCycle - a high-intensity indoor bike class - and is also a fan of Bikram yoga, which is done in a room heated to 40c.
What to try: The football push-up targets the core abdominal muscles around the waist and tummy, arms and upper body.
Place a football on the ground and rest your palms on top of it while forming a 'push-up' position with the rest of your body - legs extended behind you, balancing on toes and arms straight.

Your feet should be shoulder-width apart and your body should form a diagonal from head to feet.
Lower yourself towards the ball by bending your elbows and push up slowly. Repeat 12 to 14 times.
