Pippa Middleton's 'Sports and Social' newspaper column is cancelled after only six months because 'readers just weren't into it'

Pippa Middleton's column in The Telegraph has been axed after just six months.
According to Us Weekly, a source at the paper said that readers 'just weren't into' her fortnightly Sports and Social pieces, which touched on various themes from boxing and rowing to shucking oysters and flipping pancakes.
'There was a lot of negative mail coming in after each column and there were too many off-limit subjects for her,' said the source. 'They ran out of ideas.'

Pippa's most recent piece for the Telegraph was published on March 29. It featured a recipe for a pasta dish, which she said was 'perfect for post-exercise recovery.'
In another article called 'Pippa: turning crêped crusader for Pancake Day,' she explored London to find which restaurants make the best pancakes for Shrove Tuesday.
The news that her contract with the Telegraph has not been renewed comes just days after the younger Middleton sister was seen debuting a brand new hairstyle - a long bob - at the Waitress summer party.

The 30-year-old brunette wore her hair loose and unstyled, lending her emerald green lace dress a relaxed feel.

It's not the first time Pippa, who has been dating investment banker Nico Jackson for 18 months, has faced disappointing news regarding her literary efforts.
In 2012 she launched an entertaining manual called Celebrate, which had a slew of negative reviews.
The book reportedly sold a mere 18,000 copies, and Amazon was forced to slash the price in a bid to shift copies.
A spoof Twitter account called Pippatips was even created to mock the 'banal' party hints contained in Celebrate. The account has more than 51,000 followers.
It was reported in February that her publishers at Viking Press dropped her shortly thereafter.
The Telegraph may have cut her short, but there are other ways readers can continue to enjoy Pippa's prose.
Her work will still appear in supermarket magazine Waitrose Kitchen as well as Vanity Fair.
She has also contributed to The Spectator magazine since December 2012.
