One Direction return to London after wrapping up their sell-out world tour

They've just completed a worldwide sell-out tour but even boy band, One Direction seemed surprised by the homecoming they received when they touched down at London's Heathrow airport on Monday.
The boys flew home from Tokyo where they wrapped up months of global shows for their Take Me Home 2013 tour and no doubt they were pleased to get back home to see their families.
It's been a busy time for 1D. Having kicked off the tour in the UK in February, the group played a huge 61 dates in Europe, 41 in North America, 25 in Australia and two in Asia.

Niall Horan, 20, took to Twitter to express how much of a blast the boys have had on tour:
'134 shows !And I wasn't bored for one show because we have the best fans on the planet, and we do all this for u,coz u gave all of this t us [sic]'
Despite enduring around a 12 hour flight home, the boys seemed more than happy to stop and sign autographs and have their pictures taken with their eager fans who had waited patiently to see them.

Harry Styles, 19, had dressed down for the flight but that didn't stop a crowd of Directioners racing towards him excitedly.
The Midnight Memories singer was dressed in black skinny-ripped jeans, a black T-shirt and an open red-checked shirt and he covered his curly hair with a backwards-facing black baseball cap.
Harry also wore his favourite brown suede Chelsea boots and a big beaming smile.

Fellow band member Niall Horan was also spotted trying to make his way through the crowds and he looked barely recogniseable in his geeky thick-rimmed spectacles.
But the disguise did nothing to put off his eagle-eyed admirers.
The Irish starlet wore comfortably long, grey, baggy Adidas shorts, Nike high-top trainers, a black hoody and a black and white New York Yankees baseball cap.
Sportswear was clearly the theme of the day as Liam Payne, 20, was spotted wearing a black trendy Txnmy beanie hat, a black and white Adidas hoody and baggy jeans.

Harry's style was a far cry away from the get-up he wore on Halloween when he dressed up as twerking popstar, Miley Cyrus.
His beauty stylist, Lou Teasdale uploaded a picture of the Harry's version of the Miley's VMA costume via Instagram.
He wore a pair of latex shorts and that iconic foam finger and he stuck his tongue out in an image that would driven his fans wild.

Unfortunately, the boys won't have much time to rest even though the tour is over.
They will be busy promoting their new video, Story Of My Life which was released on the same day the tour ended.
The video is arguably one of their most emotive yet as the boys are seen developing moving family photos in a giant dark room.
The former X Factor contestants pose with their family members in mock-ups of existing photos taken years ago and no doubt the boys can't wait to see them again now they're back on British soil.
