
After Manchester United's farcical transfer window, which saw the Old Trafford side reportedly bid for no less than nine midfield players - and recruit just one - Marouane Fellaini - Damien Comolli has led calls for United to appoint a director of football to ease the pressure on manager David Moyes and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. Comolli told BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘If there was a club in need of a director of football to ease the process for both individuals it was Manchester United.
