Fresh-faced and glowing Lupita Nyong'o unveiled as Lancome ambassadress

Lupita Nyong'o is without a doubt Hollywood's most feted star of the year - Kenya's president even described her as 'the pride of Africa' after her Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in the movie 12 Years A Slave.
And it seems that beauty brands are keen to snap up a piece of the Lupita magic - the actress has just been unveiled as the new brand ambassadress of Lancome.

The French beauty giant hand-picked the 31-year-old and said in a statement today: 'Her instinctive and sophisticated talent and one of a kind beauty, both delicate and strength-exuding, has taken the world by storm.'

Speaking about the Mexican-born, Kenyan actress, the brand said: 'She is an outstanding example of a natural beauty; confident and simply true to herself, she embraces life with freshness, citing happiness as the most attractive form of radiance.'

The ad sees Australian model Tom Bull, 24, visit India for a wedding, where he meets and falls in love with Maya, played by Miss Pinto, 29.
While the kiss between Mr Bull and Miss Pinto didn't make the final cut, Mr Bull revealed to Isaac Likes: 'Often I'd forget there was anyone else around and some moments we had together were genuinely amazing.'

EastEnders is set to get its first undertaking business.
Roger Sloman, who plays bit-part funeral director Les Coker, has joined the cast of the BBC One soap on a permanent basis alongside Lin Blakley, who will play his wife Pam, as they open a funeral parlour in Albert Square.
The soap's executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: 'Les and Pam are part of our plans to rejuvenate the show's older generation.

He said it was the 'right time to step down from the rigours' of hosting the live shows which have become Saturday night ratings winners.
However he will continue to work on pre-recorded Strictly shows for Christmas and Children In Need as well as one-off BBC specials, and said he will also be performing in theatres.
