Most of Roy
Hodgson's England squad will attend a charity dinner on Sunday evening
where the entertainment – hand-picked by the players – will include a
band who mock former captain John Terry.
The Lions and Roses gala dinner at the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire
raises money for good causes and will also act as a send-off to Brazil.
Star attraction: Rizzle Kicks are due to perform at England charity dinner
The bands are the Kaiser Chiefs and a hip hop duo from Brighton, Rizzle
Kicks, whose single 'Lost Generation' included the lyrics 'I was more
confused than all John Terry's black friends'.
Terry
was charged with using racist language in 2011 but despite being
cleared in court he was found guilty by the FA for using abusive
language that included 'a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour
and/or race of Ferdinand'.
Missing out: John Terry retired from
international football after being handed a four-match ban by the FA
despite being acquitted in court of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand
He was banned for four games and fined £220,000.
Jordan Stephens of Rizzle Kicks said: 'We're massive football fans so
it's a huge honour to perform in front of the England team.'
