Thousands sign petition for Beyonce and Jay Z to take better care of Blue Ivy's hair

A petition has been launched asking Beyonce and Jay Z to comb their two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy's hair.
The Change.org page for petition, which was started by a woman named Jasmine Toliver, reads: 'As a woman who understands the importance of hair care, it's disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture.
'The parents of Blue Ivy, Sean Carter aka Jay Z and Beyonce have failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy's hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let's get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.'

So far the campaign has amassed an impressive 3,601 supporters, with people giving their reasons in the comments section.
'Because no child whose mom spends thousands on her hair (monthly) should live life looking like a sheep!' wrote one woman.
'I hate when a mother looks like a million dollars with their hair all done and the child looks like they haven't seen a comb since they were born,' said another.
'Cruelty to children has to stop,' wrote a third supporter.

But not everyone was quite so on board with the cause. 'This is the dumbest thing I have seen in my life,' wrote one woman.
'You have no right to assume that you are the authority on anyone's hair, you judgmental females, that is her child. Not yours!'
And another person joked: 'Maybe we need to petition for a life for Jasmine Toliver.'

Arise Dame Angelina: After four days of hobnobbing at war summit, starstruck William Hague hands Tinseltown's queen Jolie a gong

Angelina Jolie has been made a dame by William Hague.
The starstruck Foreign Secretary, who has spent most of the week at the Hollywood actress’s side, bestowed the surprise accolade on her as part of the Queen’s birthday honours.
The pair have been working closely together at a summit on rape in London – despite the escalating political and military crises in Iraq, Syria and Ukraine.

Miss Jolie, the 39-year-old star of Tomb Raider, said: ‘It means a great deal to me.’
But eyebrows were raised at the headline-grabbing damehood, which seals two years of growing friendship between the A-list actress and Mr Hague.
As an American citizen, it is highly unusual that Miss Jolie has received an honour from Britain.
Foreigners are occasionally awarded them – there was an honorary knighthood for Bob Geldof, who is Irish, after Live Aid.
Labour MP Paul Flynn said that giving a top award to a celebrity with friends in high places rather than an unsung British hero undermined the credibility of the honours system.
‘The honours system is becoming increasingly discredited and this is another step in that direction,’ he said.
‘Angelina Jolie is doing creditable work but it is ridiculous to honour people who are already over-endowed with privileges and wealth.’
Critics also said damehoods are usually bestowed later in life, after a recipient has earned a lower honour such as an OBE or a CBE.

The honour to Miss Jolie, a UN Special Envoy, recognises her ‘extraordinary’ work to stamp out rape as a weapon in war zones, culminating in a landmark international summit in London to tackle the menace.
Mr Hague said she thoroughly deserved the award because she had ‘made a real difference and achieved lasting results’, referring to the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative the pair launched in 2012.
Miss Jolie said: ‘To receive an honour related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.’
She becomes an honorary Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.
It is awarded to those who ‘render extraordinary or important non-military service in a foreign country’.
It can also be conferred for important or loyal service in relation to foreign and Commonwealth affairs.
Mr Hague and Miss Jolie have made a number of visits to war zones around the world together.

The Foreign Secretary has seemed bewitched by the actress all week, with he and David Cameron looking like awestruck schoolboys when they welcomed her to Britain on Tuesday.
Mr Hague gushed that she was ‘a pleasure to work with’, and said her ‘power to speak to the whole world’ and his ‘levers of decision-making and action’ were a formidable combination.
Whitehall officials confirmed Miss Jolie’s damehood was an honour ‘from the Foreign Office ... for services to UK foreign policy and the campaign to end war zone sexual violence’.
The Foreign Office refused to confirm it was Mr Hague who had nominated Miss Jolie.

Later he said he and US Secretary of State John Kerry, who also attended the summit, had ‘obviously’ discussed the deepening conflict in Iraq.
Downing Street defended Mr Hague’s decision to devote a week to accompanying Miss Jolie.
Mr Cameron believed it was the ‘right thing to do’ to carry on with the ‘very important initiative’, said a spokesman, who insisted Mr Hague had not taken his eye off the ball on Iraq.

Spain could not react to rampant Netherlands, admits Iniesta

The Barcelona star was at a loss to explain the devastating scoreline but remains confident that he and his team-mates will recover to qualify from Group B

Andres Iniesta

Andres Iniesta admitted Spain were powerless to prevent a blistering Netherlands side ripping them apart to record a sensational 5-1 win in Friday's Group B opener.

The world champions took the lead on 27 minutes when Xabi Alonso converted from 12 yards after Stefan de Vrij had brought down Diego Costa, but a brilliant Robin van Persie header brought the Dutch level a minute before the break.

And Louis van Gaal's men promptly ran riot in the second half, with further goals from Van Persie, De Vrij and a double from Arjen Robben giving them sweet revenge for agonising defeat in the 2010 World Cup final.

After the match, Iniesta identified Van Persie's equaliser as the turning point, but insists Spain can recover.

"There is not much to say after a result like this," he told Telecinco. "We have to analyse what happened and think about the games we have left.

"Sometimes you can't stand a setback like the one we had in the first half. If we could reach half-time with a 1-0 lead would have left us untouched... in the end, those kind of details can decide a match.

"It was a tough game for us when they had the advantage on the result. It's a setback we didn't expect, but this is a World Cup and these things happen.

"We don't play to be praised or criticised. We tried to do our game, but we didn't know how to. If we win the two games left we will have options."

Shambolic Spain must change, or die after being swept aside by dutch masterclass of Van Persie and Arjen Robben

COMMENT: Friday night's 5-1 demolition at the hands of Netherlands underlined that La Roja are in dire need of an overhaul ahead of their meeting with Chile

Iker Casillas Spain World Cup 2014 Group B 140613

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque had two major selection decisions to make for Friday's World Cup Group B opener against Netherlands. He got both wrong - and it's time for him to reassess what he believes is his best side or his team might be out of this tournament before everyone could have expected.

There had been rumours all week that the former Real Madrid coach would start with Javi Martinez at the back in place of Gerard Pique. However, when it came to the crunch, Del Bosque erred on the side of caution, electing against breaking up the longstanding central defensive partnership of Pique and Sergio Ramos. How he must rue that decision now.

Pique was dire; his positioning pathetic. The Barcelona centre-half lost Robin van Persie for the first goal and was also caught in no man's land for the second before then allowing Arjen Robben to cut back inside him far too easily.

It would be unfair to pin Spain's defeat squarely on the shoulders of Pique, though, not when so many around them performed so dreadfully. Indeed, even the in-form Sergio Ramos was left foundering in Robben's wake for the fifth goal - despite having had a five-yard head start on his former Madrid team-mate.

Of course, by that stage the game had been stretched - as well as lost - so a desperate, dishevelled Spain had become ever more vulnerable to the counter. That was because goalkeeper Iker Casillas had been punished twice in quick succession for terrible errors. First, the captain failed to deal with an inswinging ball from the left - the story of Spain's evening - thus allowing Stefan de Vrij to bundle the ball home. Then, Casillas gifted Van Persie his second of the game with a shocking first touch inside his own area.
Both Pique and Casillas must surely be facing the axe? Indeed, it was clear during a most painful 90 minutes for La Roja that this is a side that, after an unprecedent period of sustained success, needs freshening up. Netherlands have completely overhauled their line-up since the 2010 final between these two sides; Spain have stood still. That Del Bosque has stood by men who have delivered three consective major international trophies is understandable, but now is clearly the time for change.

Of course, it was hoped that Diego Costa would add a new dimension to Spain's now predictable approach. However, the Brazil-born forward looked desperately out of place. The Atletico man won the penalty from which Xabi Alonso won the penalty but he was a lumbering presence up front; his finishing embarrassingly wayward. It was no surprise that he was replaced by Fernando Torres midway through the second half. In truth, he was lucky not to have been asked to leave the field before then, having been guilty of a sadly characteristic show of petulance in throwing his forehead in the directon of Bruno Martins Indi.

By that stage, Spain were already unravelling. By that stage, they had been brutally exposed. Just like Barcelona 12 months ago.

Del Bosque's initial post-match reaction was to back his team, to shelter them from criticism, and maintain control. But it's by doing that that has brought us to this point. He must ring the changes for Spain's next game, a tricky looking encounter with Chile.

This is no time for panic. Spain, of course, lost their opener in South Africa four years ago. But change is required. Tiki-taka is not dead. Not yet. But it needs to be resuscitated. And quickly.

channel Lady Gaga with a sheer panelled jumpsuit

Some celebrities draw collective gasps of horror if they have a little wardrobe malfunction when their dress blows up in the wind (which recently happened to the Duchess of Cambridge) or display a little more thigh than is strictly seemly when falling into a taxi after a night on the tiles.

Lady Gaga, however, is a completely different story. We have become so accustomed to seeing more or less every part of her anatomy that seeing her out and about in a sheer jumpsuit barely elicits the blink of an eye. Even though we can see her nipples through her bra.

Just for the record, the label is Fleur du Mal, an online store from New Yorker Jennifer Zuccarini. As for the rest of us, sure we like us a bit of sheer but 'a bit' is the operative word.

Fashion Finder would advise opting for a sheer panel instead - on the front as at Topshop or Dotty Ps or a go-faster slash across the sleeve as at Eleven Paris (our fave). Otherwise go semi sheer with Forever 21 which leaves just enough to the imagination.

Picture special: Lady Gaga after shaving her hair to give Bollywood impression

On Wednesday she channeled 1500's royalty.
But on Thursday, Gaga showed she's no lady as she exited her New York City apartment wearing a see-through bra and sheer jumpsuit.
Always eager to try new things, the 28-year-old songstress sported a brand new shaved patch on the back of her head and appeared to be channelling the Bollywood princess look with extravagant silver jewellery.

The star's tresses were cropped at the back and beneath the last strands, a patch remained as evidence that the star went under the razor.
The cutest part of the Poker Face hitmaker's outfit was of course her French Bulldog, Asia.
Gaga's all-black ensemble was entirely see-through, aside from a high-waisted pair of shorts clinging tightly to her thighs and affording her a slither of modesty.

Her jumpsuit draped across her body, but rather than allowing it to fall naturally across her chest she adjusted the garment so that it gaped wide open.
There wasn't much to say for the opacity of the fabric the singer's bra was made from either.

Accompanied by a gang of shirtless chums, Djokovic was in good cheer as he peeled off his T-shirt and dived into the ocean – where he promptly showed off his butterfly stroke.
Sporting a pair of blue swimming shorts, the tennis player revealed a nicely toned upper body that he proceeded to display after re-joining his pals on the boat for some friendly banter.
The holiday may well have been part of a stag do for the tennis player, after he got engaged to his  Jelena last September.

Justin Bieber ‘will plead guilty to reckless driving' in DUI case

Justin Bieber is set to settle his Miami DUI case with a plea bargain deal that will allegedly see most of the charges against the troubled singer dropped.
The 20-year-old will reportedly plead guilty to the reckless driving charge made during his arrest in January while the rest of his charges with be dismissed according to TMZ.
Justin was originally charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest, reckless driving and driving without a valid license when police officers claimed to have caught him and pal Khalil drag racing on Miami streets in the early hours of the morning.

While it has since been reported that the hitmaker was neither drag racing or drunk on the night, he did test positive for marijuana.
TMZ reports that the reason the plea deal has taken so long to be sorted is due to the fact the judge allegedly wanted Bieber to star in and pay for an anti-drug PSA.
However, Bieber’s lawyers resisted because they felt that the idea was inappropriate.
The singer’s camp also felt it was unnecessary for the star with attend a drug and alcohol education curse because he does not have a substance abuse problem and attending classes would indicate that he does.

A source told the site: ‘Bieber will plead guilty to reckless driving and the other charges will be dismissed.  He'll pay a fine and attend anger management classes.  He will NOT be placed on probation.
Meanwhile, his rapper friend Khalil will use the same plea but will not have to attend any classes.
Once Bieber and Khalil complete the requirements of the settlement, the reckless driving conviction will then be wiped from their record.
The deal is expected to be entered in court in coming weeks.

In trouble with the law again: The 20-year-old - seen in LA in May -  was under investigation for attempted robbery
The news comes after the singer's robbery case was rejected by the Los Angeles District Attorney.
Justin was hit by claims earlier this month that he had allegedly stolen a woman's phone in Sherman Oaks, California, after she photographed him.
But the prosecutor's office has rejected the case after Los Angeles Police found no evidence to support the woman's allegations, TMZ reports.

Police interviewed nine eyewitnesses at the scene of the alleged crime, Sherman Oaks Castle Park, and not a single one could confirm the woman's claims.

The District Attorney rejected the case, however they did send it to the City Attorney, which could result in a misdemeanor.
Earlier this month The LA Times spoke to Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department, who confirmed: 'He has been accused of attempted robbery.'
The pop singer, who wore jeans, a black T-shirt and a maroon coloured beanie, was alleged to have 'wrestled' with the mother to try and obtain her cell phone, to stop her from taking pictures, and eventually 'ripped' it from her hands. She was with her 13-year-old daughter at the time.

The last month has probably been one of the most difficult for Katie Price, after she discovered her husband Kieran Hayler was cheating on her with her best friend Jane Poutney.
However her new Bentley must have been a welcome distraction for the pregnant businesswoman on Wednesday, as she cruised through the sunny capital with the top down.
The 36-year-old's younger sister Sophie accompanied her as she sat behind the wheel of the £100,000 white motor.

The former glamour model was minus her four children for the day, in the same week that she posted an unflattering photo of Jane on Twitter.
All her recent troubles appeared to be taking the toll on the mother-of-four who looked glum as she made her way down the Kings Road.
Clearly making the most of the weather, Katie opted for a pink camisole, complete with lace trim detailing.

Arsenal earn £5.6m from Fabregas' move to Chelsea... Gunners can now go after Balotelli with £100m kitty

Arsenal will pocket £5.6million from the sale of former Gunner Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea.
The Spanish midfielder completed his return to London on Thursday in a £30m move from Barcelona, signing a contract in the region of £150,000-a-week.
But the deal will also boost Arsenal's already healthy £100million transfer budget and enable them to pursue striker Mario Balotelli who is among manager Arsene Wenger's summer targets.

In addition to the buy-back clause, Arsenal were also believed to have struck a deal entitling them to 50 percent of the profit from Fabregas' next move.
However, Sportsmail understands the payment made to Arsenal in relation to Fabregas' move to Chelsea will come from the acceleration of all performance clauses, as if they were achieved, from the original deal in 2011.
Arsenal snubbed the chance to re-sign their former captain but will still benefit from the sale of the 27-year-old to their rivals.
And, in announcing his return to the Premier League, Fabregas was quick to underline the fact his former club rejected the chance to bring him back to the Emirates Stadium.
Fabregas came through the ranks at Arsenal, and went on to captain the side before returning to boyhood club Barcelona in 2011.
Arsenal secured a first-option buy-back clause as part of the £35million deal which saw Fabregas return to Catalonia.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had considered taking up the option once it became clear Barca were looking to sell the midfielder.
But with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already at the club, Wenger decided his squad did not need another creative midfielder.

Wenger and Fabregas continue to have a close relationship, while it is understood returning to north London was Fabregas' preferred destination.
Despite the fact Fabregas' move to Chelsea has been mooted for several days, there remained an element of surprise that Wenger snubbed the opportunity to re-sign Fabregas from within the club yesterday.
And the ex-Arsenal captain was at pains to point out that it was Arsenal's decision to end any potential reunion, and not vice versa.
'Firstly I would like to thank everyone at FC Barcelona where I enjoyed three wonderful years. It was my childhood club and I will always be proud and honoured that I had a chance to play for such a great team.

Liverpool are having to fight off competition for Alli from England's elite clubs, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United all monitoring his situation.
Alli made his debut for MK Dons as a 16-year-old and was a regular for the club last season, making 37 appearances and scoring seven goals, despite his age.
Speaking in March, MK Dons manager Karl Robinson said: 'He is one of the most gifted 17-year-olds this country has ever seen.
'I've said from the word go, he's as good as it gets and he's the best young player I've ever worked with.'
