MSNBC Contributor Accuses Network Of 'Biased' Coverage Toward Israel

MSNBC contributor Rula Jebreal took issue with the network's coverage of the conflict in the Middle East on Monday.

Speaking on Ronan Farrow's show, she accused MSNBC of covering the Israeli perspective far more than the Palestinian side.

“We are disgustingly biased when it comes to this issue," said Jebreal, an Italian-Palestinian journalist with dual Italian and Israeli citizenship. "Look how [much] air time Netanyahu and his folks have on air on a daily basis — Andrea Mitchell and others. I never see one Palestinian being interviewed on these same issues —"

“I’m going to push back a little on that," Farrow interjected. "We’ve had Palestinian voices on our air.”

“Maybe for 30 seconds, and then you have twenty-five minutes for Bibi Netanyahu, and half an hour for Naftali Bennett," Jebreal countered, referring to Israel's prime minister and minister of the economy, respectively.

The violence in the Middle East has dominated the news since Israel launched a ground invasion of Gaza last week. Sunday was the deadliest day of fighting in the region this month, with at least 87 Palestinians and 13 Israeli soldiers dead, according to reports from the Palestine Health Ministry and Israeli military.

Candlelit Transfusion

I met a man 16 years ago. 14 years ago, he made me his wife. Like everyone, our marriage has had struggles, but it has been perfect struggles for us. There are so many things I would love to change about him, and I am sure so many more he would love to change about me; however, for each other, we are perfect. This man, my best friend, has given me every desire of my heart! He has rescued me in so many ways. He has helped heal my heart and helped to show me my worth and value when I didn't always believe it. With love, support and grace, he helped me find myself. In all our years of marriage, I have never feared him leaving me, not one time! He gave me a security I never really knew existed. I wanted to be a mom oh so desperately... he made me a Mother of five beautiful children. He helped to give me a purpose that I didn't even know was within me. He has given us his everything, I am so proud of him and honored to call him my husband. He is an amazing friend, husband, father and the other piece of my soul!

Now, after all the battles in which we have triumphed, we are facing our greatest one. Love has carried us through all the rest and we are praying this will be no different. When I told my husband, "I am Stage IV" and they told me I will loose my life. My husband, Andrew, said, "No, we will do whatever it takes to save your life!" So through the LOVE of so many friends, family and strangers we are currently in Vienna, Austria; no, not sight-seeing and enjoying the culture, but, literally, fighting to save my life... daily. I will be honest, oftentimes this disease over shadows the important things, and unfortunately, Andrew's Birthday was no different. The night before his birthday, we rushed me to the hospital to receive blood transfusions. I spent the next few days recovering. I so wanted to celebrate him, to honor him, and do something special, because I know even more now how very important it is. I had blogged about the experience the following day:

Candle Lit Transfusion

Yesterday I woke up after my whole body hyperthermia. I was feeling weak and exhausted with complete will to charge on. My son, Andrew, and I hopped the underground to go to my treatments. Shortly after getting there, I convinced him to jump in the bed with me and I passed out. (Sadly, this is not at all my norm.) A couple hours later, my visibly panicked husband was awaking me.

"Sarah, you have to go to the hospital now for a blood transfusion."

"Do we have to?"

"Yes, Dr Kleef said your levels are dangerously low (5.6)."

Next would be finding a hospital with a bed available for me. This took an additional hour or two. All the while Linda, my mother-in-law, was with the kids moving flats. I tell you, I thank God for her. We would not have been able to do it without her! Still, while waiting for a hospital bed, I am trying to figure out how to avoid the blood transfusion; I've never had one and had feared one. Finally, we get to a hospital. The experience was very unique, to say the least. Just different. We go through all the 'technical' stuff. Three bags were recommended, but I felt more comfortable just receiving two.

The unexpected blessing of the blood transfusion: Today is Andrew's Birthday. To say this trip hasn't been hard on all of us would be an understatement. You get so focused on "surviving" you can easily loose sight of who you're surviving for. So while I was weak, frail and so very scared, my husband crawled in the tiny hospital bed with me. He comforted me and held me. We talked very candidly about this disease and our fears. We tried to make sense of something we know we can't make sense of. So we got to cuddle each other and I fell asleep in his arms. It was a special way to celebrate Andrew's pre-Birthday, a candlelit bloood transfusion lol.

Love,

Sarah

Don't let life get busy, that you forget what is really important

Still wanting to do something special to Celebrate Andrew, the love of my life... I thought what better way than to tell the world what an AMAZING man he is?

Dear Andrew,

Happy Birthday, my love! I so had wished your day had gone differently. You never fail to show me how blessed I am to call you my Forever! This journey would be unbearable without your love and strength. You are so smart, Andrew. You are so HOT! You lack confidence and that makes me love you even more. You don't know how truly awesome you are. You are my best friend, my soul mate, you are the best lover and you are so very perfect for me. You are a great father, not because you're perfect at it, but because you want to be. You want your kids to have everything they want in the world and you beat yourself up over it because you can't. Andrew, you are such a great Daddy, I wish you didn't doubt yourself. Your loyalty almost doesn't exist in this world anymore. I have lost my breast and have scars everywhere now. I'm bruised up everywhere from all the multiple, daily injections. My skin has no color left; I have no hair on my head. You still look at me like I am the only one in the world! How do you do it? Because of the man that you are! If you could see you, from my eyes, self-doubt wouldn't exist in you for even a second! I don't know how all this will end my Love, but I do know if LOVE wins I am not going anywhere! Today Andrew, I celebrate you as I do everyday and shame on me for all the times I've taken you for granted. You are my soul mate, my best friend, my lover, I love you more than words could ever express!

My Heart is Forever Yours.

Love,

Sarah

How To Plan A Wedding With A Mother-In-Law Who's Not Your Biggest Fan

The rules of wedding etiquette are constantly changing, making it difficult for modern brides, grooms and guests to find up-to-date and correct information. That's why we launched #MannersMondays, a weekly series in which we ask our followers on Twitter and Facebook to submit their most burning etiquette-related questions. Then, with the help of our team of etiquette experts, we get you the right answers to your biggest Big Day dilemmas. Check out this week's question below!

"My fiancé and his mother aren't speaking at the moment. I am planning the wedding. Should I reach out to her and send her the wedding guest list so she can make changes to it? She isn't my biggest fan.” - Submitted by a reader via e-mail

Anna Post -- great-great-granddaughter of etiquette guru Emily Post and author of Emily Post's Wedding Etiquette -- is here to help us answer this week's question. Find out what she had to say below:

This is a tricky one. I think your instincts to include her and build bridges, even if she isn’t reciprocating, are good. That said, it’s also important for you and your fiancé to be a united front. The best-case scenario would be for him to support you in reaching out to her while he continues to navigate his path forward with her. Family rifts and initial dislikes can happen for a variety of reasons — some are passing, and some are much more serious. Talk with your fiancé about where you see the potential for her relationships with each of you to go, that should help you to know if involving her in guest list decisions is the right way to extend the olive branch.

Another consideration: Is she paying for the wedding, even in some small part? If so, then it becomes more important for you both to consult with her on the guest list, particularly in regard to her family and friends. This doesn’t mean she has say final across the board, but she does have some say (especially in regard to size, which directly effects cost).

If you do reach out to her, be aware of how you phrase your requests. It’s smart to be specific in what you want. “Feel free to make any changes!” is well meant but may be taken more seriously than intended. “Here’s our initial list—is there anyone we haven’t thought of that you feel we should consider inviting?” is respectful without over-committing to her wishes. She may not be your biggest fan now, but including her in the planning and reaching out to her with respectful messages, if you and you fiancé think this is appropriate, can be a good start toward easing tensions.

You can submit your wedding etiquette questions via Facebook or tweet them to us @HuffPostWedding with the hashtag #MannersMondays.

When Will They Ever Learn...

2014-07-21-108218471.jpg

Have you ever heard of Arthur...Artie Moore?

Today - he would be the top social blogger of our time...bar none.

In the early 1900s he was an amateur wireless operator - with a homemade receiver and transmitter - living in Wales. Wireless - by the way - being "telegraph" in those days.

In 1911 he made front-page headlines in London (that's newspaper talk for those who don't remember...) because he "intercepted" and shared the news that Italy had declared war on Libya...beating out all.

On the 15th of April 1912 - he became one of the first people in the world to report about the Titanic tragedy - as once again he was online and listening...yes...even then....

What made me recall Artie (who by the way went on to do many great things in the world of listening) was the tragedy in Ukraine and the continuing violence across the Mid-East.

You have all seen the horrifying pictures of the destruction of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, shot down by missiles over Ukraine. Mile after mile of human tragedy strewn over nine miles of fields, and while some were denying that it had even happened a current-day Artie Moore took pictures of the fragments and bodies and posted them for all to see.

More...other listeners and observant networkers picked up the messaging of those who gleefully took credit for this murderous act - even though most of those posts later disappeared from the ether....and by the way, after the Titanic went down, the misinformation - purposeful and otherwise - was no different than today's...in fact, another young wireless operator - this time in New York and not an amateur - was credited with sifting through the transmissions and sharing the truth. His name was David Sarnoff...later to go on to great fame in the broadcast industry.

Artie left a legacy. So did David.

Yet we don't seem to have progressed as much in our usage of the communications tools we have in our hands as we have in their evolution in terms of power and reach.

Artie reported on a war that no one had heard of yet and 100+ plus years later the blogger in Ukraine showed us the proof of heinous murder...while across the Mid-East we see the current evolution of Artie's wireless being utilized to spread hate and misinformation...sometimes I think we need a social media cease fire as well....

Bottom line...listen:

"When will they ever learn?"

- as sung by Peter, Paul and Mary...

What do you think?

Where Is The Cast Of 'Happy Days' Now?

Whether it was Sunday, Monday, or another day of the week, "Happy Days" had fans falling in love with a middle class American family living in the 1950s. From comebacks to catchphrases and catchy opening jingles, the show had everything, which is why -- two decades after the final episode aired -- we're still talking about it.

A lot can happen in 20 years, and since the anniversary of the series' finale is coming up soon, we thought we'd find out what really happened to some of our favorite characters from the show. Take a look at what the cast of "Happy Days" is up to now.

Henry Winkler / Arthur Fonzarelli

henry winkler

Then:

Known to fans as simply “The Fonz,” Henry Winkler was the James Dean of "Happy Days." The greaser, who worked at the auto shop, rode a motorcycle, sported that now-famous leather jacket and made “eyyy” the coolest catchphrase ever, was definitely the most beloved by fans.

Now:

Winkler went on to establish his own production company, Fair Dinkum Productions, that spawned shows like "MacGyver" and "Hollywood Squares." He came back to the acting world, starring in a few Adam Sandler movies and made guest appearances on "Arrested Development" and "Parks and Recreation" before nabbing his current role on USA’s "Royal Pains." Winkler is also the author of a series of children’s books that center on a boy with dyslexia, a learning disability the actor suffered with for years before finally being diagnosed later in life. He still stays in touch with his former co-stars and is even the god-father of Ron Howard’s daughter, actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Oh, and if you aren’t following him on Twitter, you’re missing out!

Ron Howard / Richie Cunningham

ron howard

Then:

Richie was the All-American boy on the show. With his ginger locks, freckled mug and “aww shucks” demeanor, the letterman jacket-wearing high schooler quickly found a place in fans' hearts. While Richie did get into some trouble -– especially when it came to the ladies -– he was the moral center of the sitcom and it wasn’t until he left, first to join the Army and then become a big-time writer in Hollywood, that we realized how much we missed the clean-cut teen.

Now:

Howard got his start as a child star -- he first-played Andy Griffith’s son on "The Andy Griffith Show" -- but during "Happy Days," the redhead was bitten by the directing bug and left to follow other Hollywood pursuits. He’s helmed plenty of award-winning films since then –- he was behind the camera for movies like "Splash," "Apollo 13," "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and "The Da Vinci Code" –- and he even won the Academy Award for Best Director for his work on "A Beautiful Mind" starring Russell Crowe. Currently, Howard’s busy filming a new movie with Chris Hemsworth and it was just announced that he will be directing a Beatles biopic, which aims to follow the band’s early years.

Tom Bosley / Howard Cunningham

tom bosley

Then:

Mr. C was your typical, middle-class working dad with hobbies that included sitting in his comfy recliner, attending meetings at the Leopard Club and staying faithful to his Republican views. While he was a bit rough around the edges and could often be found lecturing Richie and his pals whenever one of their harebrained ideas backfired. Howard Cunningham was secretly a big softie who cared for everyone on the show and believed in family above all.

Now:

Though Tom Bosley is best-known for his time on “Happy Days,” he was already an accomplished stage actor before landing his famous TV gig. Bosley won a Tony for his performance in the critically-acclaimed Broadway musical “Fiorelli!” and appeared in films and on stage years before he took on the role of Mr. Cunningham. After the show ended, Bosley went on to guest star in everything from "Rugrats" and "Walker, Texas Ranger" to "ER," "One Tree Hill" and "That '70s Show." In 2010, Bosely starred in the Jennifer Lopez film "The Back-up Plan." Sadly, that same year, Bosley passed away after fighting a long battle with lung cancer. TV Guide named his character as one of the 50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time.

Erin Moran/Joanie Cunningham

erin moran

Then:

Fonzie’s “Shortcake” and Richie’s spunky sister, Joanie was the youngest member of the Cunningham crew and the teen had a penchant for falling in love quickly. Her romance with Fonzie’s cousin Chachi in later seasons made for some great musical (and comedic) moments on the show and the two starred in their own spin-off before returning to get married during the final season of “Happy Days.”

Now:

Erin Moran hasn’t been having many happy days recently. The actress, who had a few small roles on shows like "Murder She Wrote" and "The Love Boat," appeared in VH1’s "Celebrity Fit Club" in 2008 before finding herself homeless and in trouble with the law a few years later. The last we heard of the star, she was broke, had been kicked out of her trailer, was living as a recluse in an Indiana hotel room and having marital troubles with her husband of 20 years. There was talk of Moran joining her co-star Henry Winkler on the series "Arrested Development" but the actress never made an appearance on the show.

Marion Ross/Marion Cunningham

marion ross

Then:

The matriarch of the Cunningham clan, Marion Cunningham, or Mrs. C, was the mother we all wanted. Sweet-tempered, good-natured, loving and smart, she ran the family while letting husband Howard think he was the man in charge. Mrs. C often worried about her family and usually tried to meddle in places she shouldn’t, but hey, that’s what moms do! And that’s why fans of the show loved her.

Now:

After leaving Mrs. C behind, Ross went on to do other TV projects. She starred in the short-lived "Brooklyn Bridge," which won a Golden Globe Award and was also nominated for an Emmy. She’s also guest-starred on shows like “The Gilmore Girls,” “Touched By An Angel” and “Two and A Half Men.”

Scott Baio/Chachi Arcola

scott baio

Then:

Wa, wa, wa, who didn’t love Chachi? The young heartthrob of the show and Joanie Cunningham’s love interest was first introduced as Fonzie’s younger cousin in 1977. He became a fan-favorite, especially among female viewers and Baio was reported to receive over 5,000 fan-letters per day while filming the show. Eventually, Chachi and Joanie got their own spinoff where the two made a living singing in a family-owned restaurant but the couple returned to “Happy Days” for its final season and were married before the series ended.

Now:

After his turn on “Happy Days,” Baio went on to star in the TV sitcom “Charles in Charge” about a college student working as a live-in nanny. The show lasted five seasons and afterwards, Baio made a couple of TV movies before taking a guest starring stint on "Arrested Development." Baio also starred on a couple of VH1 reality series including "Scott Baio Is 45 … and Single" and "Confessions of a Teen Idol," which followed the actor and another child star as they tried to find their way back into the limelight.

Dad Arrives Home From Work And Has The Cutest Dance Party With His Toddler Daughter

If there's ever a reason to "yell timber" at the end of a long day at work, it usually precedes a rapid fall from the couch to the floor. Well, not for this dad.

When Kentucky dad Justin Price arrived home from work one day last week, the first thing he did was break into a driveway dance party with his toddler daughter Malli. While the pair jumped and grooved to Kesha and Pitbull's "Timber," mom Chessi Price captured the adorable moment between her husband and daughter on video and posted it to YouTube. And naturally, viral mania ensued.

Our guess for Malli's first question when she sees this as a grown up: "Why is dad twerking???"

Hot Mic Moments Are Nothing New

Most communications professionals in politics have a story to tell about the time their boss was caught - or nearly caught - on a live microphone. We have leapt across tables, knocked over podiums, or grabbed a principal's lapel to muffle a microphone when realizing that an unscripted moment was about to occur.

It is ironic that for an industry so often criticized for canned talking points, it is a significant faux pas for U.S. politicians to be caught with a "hot mic." Yet when the moment happens, members of the media are also quick to create a process story out of the blunder.

Carly Fiorina, who ran as the GOP candidate to unseat incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer in 2010, was behind in the polls when she got caught on a hot mic making fun of Boxer's hair. While it was possible to point to the incident as evidence that Fiorina was both careless and catty, the gaffe did not do anything to change the discourse around the election. That didn't stop cable television hosts from highlighting it. Rather than focus on differences in the platforms of the candidates, pundits spent more than a few media cycles poking fun at the candidate and at a race that could now be more easily dismissed as a cat fight among two women.

Democrats have had their fair share of hot mic moments as well. In fact, TIME has compiled a list of the "Top 10 Hot Mic Moments" in history, including President Obama's comments, prior to a television interview, regarding Kanye West's misbehavior at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards ("He's a jackass") and Vice President Biden's remarks at the announcement of passage of the president's healthcare legislation ("This is a big f_____ deal").

Game changers? No. Embarrassing? Sure. But instead of a process story about an unforced error that did not affect any substantive narrative, don't we deserve to have the media focus on substance?

For example, this weekend Secretary of State John Kerry taped interviews on all five major Sunday morning shows to discuss the ongoing turmoil between Israel and Hamas among other topics - important issues affecting our international security and policy that deserve serious debate and consideration. But when Secretary Kerry was caught on a hot mic having a conversation with a staffer as the Fox News Sunday cameras were gearing up, the pundits directed their attention elsewhere.

In commenting on the ongoing assaults, Kerry was overheard saying, "It's a hell of a pinpoint operation," as his aide comments that, "It's escalating significantly."

Anchor Chris Wallace called the hot mic comments an "extraordinary moment of diplomacy." Really? The secretary commenting on innocent civilians being caught in the crossfire might be significant if he hadn't said it before, but there is nothing Kerry said in the hot mic moment that he didn't say on camera on Fox. Or Face the Nation. Or Meet the Press. Or in any of the press he has done over the past several days. But that didn't stop more than a dozen news organizations from posting independent stories about the "gaffe" within a few hours of the taping.

Process stories about a hot mic moment in which nothing was said that differed from on the record comments. What a waste.

There are hot mic moments that matter, and there are hot mic moments that serious reporters should leave for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. When Congressman Michael Grimm threatened NY1 reporter Michael Scotto after an interview about the president's 2014 State of the Union address turned to local topics, it was relevant. The altercation not only gave voters insight into Grimm's character, it foreshadowed the campaign finance probe for which he has now been indicted.

But pieces focused on chit-chat about hairstyles, pop culture and a few curse words? "Breaking" news segments about a diplomat speaking to a staff member in the face of serious global crises about the urgency that he is moments away from saying on air? We should all find something better to do with our weekend.

Committee To Protect Journalists Calls For 'Immediate Reversal' Of Thai Junta's Media Crackdown

The Committee to Protect Journalists expressed its outrage on Monday over the Thai military's new crackdown on press, Internet and social media freedom.

The committee called for an "immediate reversal" of the Thai junta's latest order for increased media control. The National Council for Peace and Order issued an edict on Friday that prohibits any form of media criticism of the junta, its policies or operations. Any news outlet that goes against these restrictions can reportedly be shut down by Thai military and police officials. A coup d'etat in May left the military in control of Thailand's government.

"This overbroad order against any media criticism represents an open invitation for state authorities to arbitrarily abuse their powers in suppressing the media," CPJ's Southeast Asia representative Shawn Crispin said. "If junta leader General Prayuth Chan-ocha was genuine about his stated intention of reforming politics and restoring democracy, his junta would promote, not curb, press and Internet freedoms."

Phansasiri Kularb, a journalism lecturer at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, told the AP that Chan-ocha "said on his televised program, repeatedly since the coup, to urge those who disagreed with his views to open up their mind and talk, but this announcement says the opposite."

The edict also bans any media interviews of anyone, including scholars and former civil servants, whose opinions could create "conflict" or tensions with the junta.

CPJ noted the case of Thanapol Eawsakul, editor and founder of Fah Diew Gahn, who was detained by the military in July over criticisms he made on Facebook. Journalists expressed their concerns and fears on Saturday about the Thai military government's tightening grip.

"This is basically a gag order," co-founder of Thai Netizen Network Sarinee Achavanuntakul told the AP. "I think it is very dangerous and, to me, it signals that the coup makers may not have a clear idea of who the enemies are."

Bill Murray's Newest Character Is A Great Addition To The Greatest Comedic Roster Ever. See For Yourself.

Bill Murray means more to you than you may realize.

With the arrival of the trailer for his new "dramedy," St.Vincent, it looks like the comedic genius is set to carve out another character who will live on in cinema history as a great one. Between the smoking, drinking and complete disregard for those around him, his Vincent de Van Nuys seems like a perfect vessel for all that we love about Murray. Add to the mix that his main foil will be a 10-year-old kid who needs a little guidance and the stage is set for some dialogue that will get its due through the iconic presence of a Hollywood legend. And a legend he is.

Over the past 40 years, Bill Murray has treated us to more amazing characters than most actors will ever do in a lifetime. Celebrity Collector: Luis Figueroa

Luis Figueroa is not a face you quickly forget. You might recognize him from the Broadway musicals "42nd Street" or "Wicked." He has also worked on numerous commercials for brands such as Coke Zero, Bank of America, US Army, etc. Recently he was cast in Akiva Goldsman's film, Winter's Tale. I have a feeling we are going to see a lot more of this actor in the near future.

When he's not acting, he has another passion; cooking. I'm not going to lie. I don't like to cook. Baking tasty treats...yes. Cooking..not so much. Alas, if I was to spy this guy in the meat department of the grocery store, I might be inspired.

One can only assume with a collection of cookbooks, the kitchen is your favorite place to be. Tell me more.

I can't think of any other place in a home I would rather be. I love kitchens. My kitchen or anyone else's for that matter. I have so many memories that stem from them. From my grandmother cooking when I was little, to prepping Christmas dinner, to my hot plate and microwave in my first NY apartment. I have laughed, I have cried, I have eaten and drank way too much. It's the place where meals are created. How often have you smelled something or tasted something in a kitchen and had it take you back to a specific place, and time? That's the power of a kitchen. It inspires life.

Who or what inspired your interest in cookbooks?

About 10 years ago I was working on Broadway. I met a friend after our matinees for a sensible Sunday cupcake at Magnolia bakery. The line was immense, not to mention they were closing, so we didn't even make the cut off. For whatever reason, we decided we should make our own cupcakes. We headed to a bookstore in the neighborhood and picked up the"Magnolia Bakery Book," got to my place and threw everything in a food processor. Not my best, but I was inspired to try again, and again, and again.

My family thinks of me as a cupcake connoisseur now. Baking led to actual meals and then to hosting dinner parties. The better I got the more complex the books became. Then came the magazine subscriptions and eventually I developed this collection of books and magazines with enough recipes to not have the same meal for a couple of years. I have my go to recipes and a ton of which I have yet to explore. That's the beauty of them. Every time I open a book something new and exciting can arise from it.

Ironically, I used to own a cupcake bakery. Lots of people can cook, but can't necessarily bake and vice versa. Apparently, you have mastered both! Has your passion for cooking turned you into a utensil or cookware collector?

I would like to say no, I don't collect anything else. The cookbooks are enough. I have tons of them here in LA, back in NY, and even some at my mom's house in DC. But I tend to also buy/collect useless kitchen items. Different recipes call for different tools. Zesters, measuring cups, rolling pins, cake pans of all shapes and sizes, sifters, cheese cloths, pots, pans, knives, the list goes on and on. I tend to get up sold easily so I do have a variety of items that I haven't used, some which are still in their original packaging. I'm sure at some point a recipe will call for them, so it's best to be prepared. If you collect cookbooks you have to have the tools to back them up, no?

When asking someone out on a date, do you take them out to eat, or do you pull out one of your favorite cookbooks and make something fabulous?

I love to eat out. So first date, absolutely restaurant it is. When I need to seal the deal, that's when I will cook. I have go to recipes for such occasions, but those are my secret weapons...

Look out Curtis Stone... If you tire of films and the theater, I'm sure the Food Network would have something for you!!

Robert Downey Jr. Tops Forbes' List Of Highest Paid Actors Yet Again

Earning an estimated $75 million, Robert Downey Jr. has topped Forbes' ranking of highest paid actors for the second year in a row.

As Entertainment Weekly notes, this is all the more impressive considering Downey Jr. released only one movie over the course of the year in question (June 2013 to June 2014). Jon Favreau's "Chef" was a "charming treat," but Forbes notes that the majority of Downey Jr.'s earnings come from backend payments off "Iron Man 3," which grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide in 2013.

Downey Jr. is followed by Dwayne Johnson, at $52 million, who has spent the year making movies like the upcoming "Hercules" and "San Andreas." Next on the list are Bradley Cooper ($46 million), Leonardo DiCaprio ($39 million) and Chris Hemsworth ($37 million).

Tom Cruise (who topped the list in 2012) is conspicuously missing, and it does seem that the combined net worth of this list has dropped off a quite bit from where it stood last year, but what's a hundred million dollars here or there between A-list stars?

Check out the full ranking over at Forbes, and remember the tally for next year starts today.
