FFG x Banana Republic: Pleased to meet you Kensington

Let me just start all of this by saying the following. Have you seen Banana Republic's AW15 lineup yet? As someone who's been buying Banana for over two decades, I can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is the best autumn winter collection this brand has ever had hit floors. It is insane! I went into Banana Republic to have a look and had so many armfuls full of clothes for the fitting room that I was actually being pointed at in a funny manner by people passing. Yes, I take this sort of thing seriously - shopping, I mean.

But, my visit to Banana Republic was with purpose. I'm finally getting a Banana Republic store close to home. We couldn't be more excited about welcoming Banana Republic to the neighbourhood and a shopping area that is a perfect fit. Could we see our very own Princess Kate shopping in Banana Republic? Yes, the new BR store is just a hop, skip and a jump from Kensington Palace. Easy access to style perfection. It's also in good company with some other familiar US brands. Having a Whole Foods withdrawal? It's just next-door. Call me crazy but I do think my idea of a new perfect afternoon is lunch at Whole Foods, a walk in Kensington Park and a healthy shop at Banana Republic. Retail therapy is the best therapy, am I right? And this season it's just downright dangerous. Entering should come with a warning.

Now, on the 12th  of November, High Street Kensington will be welcoming the first ever Banana Republic to the neighbourhood with a launch party. From 5:30-8:30, doors will be open to BR fans to come and shop and check out the ginormous new space. Feel like attending? Drop an RSVP now. There are all kind of surprises in store planned for guests.

For those of you further afield, not to worry as I'll be going into store to take a closer look around at the new space for you. This will come with some collection highlights as well and I do believe I'll have to edit myself a bit.

To backtrack- you'll see some outfit pics here and I can tell you I'm wearing head to toe Banana Republic. Just a little something to welcome them to the neigbourhood - a style post in their honour if you will, just footsteps from the front door of their new store. Welcome to Kensington, Banana Republic!

Written in collaboration with Banana Republic.
