Show your support for England with Louis's Nike top

Work a monochrome heel into your wardrobe like Samia

The Coronation Street girls are quite the fashionistas, aren't they? With Michelle Keegan as an ex-co-star, it's no surprise that Samia Ghadie has an impressive wardrobe too.
Here, at another Corrie leaving do, it's Samia's two-tone monochrome New Look heels that we're lusting after. Yes, her yellow pleated skirt is quite amazing too, as is her plain crop top (look at that washboard stomach!), but these heels are just so classy!
New Look has long been the leaders of amazing footwear on the high street, so much so that these shoes are actually now sold out, but never fear, there's a very similar pair from the fast fashion giants below.
Samia has often showed off her style prowess, wearing some amazing dresses, so we know that her wardrobe must be at bursting point, and these shoes make a very nice addition.
Monochrome is still a big trend for this season, and probably will be forever more, so now is the time to buy a pair of black and white heels from our selection below. Emulate Samia's look by working them with a pleated midi skirt too!

Invest in this season's must-have footwear: Chanel espadrilles

Espadrilles have been the foundation of any descent capsule holiday wardrobe for years, think Jane Birkin in high-waisted denim flares. But this season the breathable, comfy beach staple has been given a high fashion make-over, with Chanel leading the way.

Chanel’s simple take on this seasonal classic had the fashion world chomping at the bit for months before they became available, and since their release it’s been nigh impossible to find a pair (trust us, we’ve tried).
But the world of celebrity, as we know, is a whole different ball game and it comes as no surprise to see the likes of Alexa Chung, Kourtney Kardashian and Miranda Kerr flaunting their new summer purchases for all to see.

Fortunately, when a trend is this all-encompassing, the high street is never too far behind and in this case there are a whole host of super wearable alternatives. We're loving Topshop's black Koala espadrilles (below). Style them with your favourite skinny jeans for a chic daytime look.

Make a statement in a bright pink column gown

The statuesque South African beauty who has just announced she is expecting her first child with Prince Albert of Monaco looked resplendent at the Grand Prix last week in this fuchsia column gown by Swiss fashion label, Akris.

However as a column dress is definitely not the most forgiving when it comes to an expanding belly, we reckon she'd better make the most of it while she can. Especially as it cost over £2000!

A straight column can often look a bit boring but the asymmetric shoulder on Princess Charlene's version renders it just edgy enough ie not 'de trop' for someone who might be carrying the future king of Monaco. Or Queen. Can Monaco have a queen?

Anyway if you really mean business the Thakoon dress at Avenue 32 is a seriously amazing piece - a veritable bargain at half the price of the Akris. However the rest of us can take solace in the fact that we can get the royal look at Boohoo or Monki for just £8-£12.

Suarez named in Uruguay's 23-man World Cup squad despite knee injury

Luis Suarez has been named in Uruguay's 23-man squad for Brazil despite suffering from a knee injury.
The Liverpool striker's World Cup was thrown into doubt after undergoing minor surgery a fortnight ago, but coach Oscar Tabarez knows the 27-year-old is pivotal to the Uruguay team.
It means the Premier League's top goalscorer could be back in time to face England on June 19.

URUGUAY WORLD CUP SQUAD

Goalkeepers: Fernando Muslera (Galatasaray), Martin Silva (Vasco da Gama), Rodrigo Munoz (Libertad)
Defenders: Maximiliano Pereira (Benfica), Diego Lugano (West Bromwich Albion), Diego Godin, Jose Maria Gimenez (both Atletico Madrid), Sebastian Coates (Liverpool), Martin Caceres (Juventus), Jorge Fucile (Porto)
Midfielders: Alvaro Gonzalez (Lazio), Alvaro Pereira (Sao Paulo), Walter Gargano (Parma), Egidio Arevalo Rios (Morelia), Diego Perez (Bologna), Cristian Rodriguez (Atletico Madrid), Gaston Ramirez (Southampton), Nicolas Lodeiro (Botafogo)
Forwards: Luis Suarez (Liverpool), Edinson Cavani (Paris St Germain), Abel Hernandez (Palermo), Diego Forlan (Cerezo Osaka), Christian Stuani (Espanyol)
The anthroscopic surgery lasted about 30 minutes, and it was thought the forward would be sidelined for at least two weeks.
There were claims Suarez sustained the injury on Liverpool's last game of the season, provoking online death threats to be sent to Newcastle's Paul Dummett from Uruguay fans.
But if Tabarez needs to rely on his back-up strikers, then he should have little worries.
Ex-Manchester United forward Diego Forlan and PSG striker Edinson Cavani have also been named, in what looks a frighteningly good mix up front for Uruguay.
Liverpool's Sebastian Coates, on loan at Nacional, was also picked for the final squad.
As was West Brom's Diego Lugano and Southampton's Gaston Ramirez.
Alejandro Silva and Sebastian Eguren have been dropped from his provisional squad.
Uruguay's first match comes against Costa Rica on June 15, before they face England in Sao Paolo four days later.
Fit? The surgery was said to keep Suarez out for at least two weeks but being named is a boost for Uruguay

On the mend: Suarez will be pivotal to Uruguay's World Cup hopes, even with Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan as back up

Roma slap £50m price tag on Manchester City target Benatia

Roma have slapped a £50million price tag on in-demand defender Medhi Benatia.
The Morocco international has attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona and Chelsea - while Manchester City had a £16.5million offer rejected on Friday.
The Premier League champions are also interested in Porto's French defender Eliaquim Mangala, although he is believed to prefer a move to Chelsea.
Benatia has been fined by Roma for publicly criticising their latest contract offer, accusing the club of treating him 'like a child' after being offered what he considered an 'unacceptable' pay rise.

However, club director Walter Sabatini insists the 27-year-old will not be allowed to leave for less than 61million Euros (£50million).
Speaking on Roma's official website, Sabatini said: 'Mehdi is a great player with a contract that expires in four years' time. We have no problem with him.
Target: Medhi Benatia
Target: Eliaquim Mangala
Case for the defence: City have shown interest in Medhi Benatia (L) and Eliaquim Mangala (R)

'Perhaps he slipped up with a few comments or words but he didn't intend to distance himself from Roma or the fans. He mentioned broken promises. That's not exactly how it went. It's true that when he signed for Roma he turned down other offers that were higher than ours.
'I said to him: 'You try and play like Benatia and we'll give you an improved contract.' We offered him an increase -- although there was no obligation for us to do so -- and we didn't agree on the amount, but he didn't mean to describe it as 'ridiculous.' He's speaking a language that's not his own -- you can't slaughter him for it.'

Sabatini stressed that Benatia would stay at Roma and accused the player's agent, Moussa Sissoko, of creating problems.
'I'd like to remind this man that 30 million is the price I believe Benatia's weak foot to be worth, his left. His right foot is worth at least a million more. So you do the maths.'
'As I've said, the player is not for sale, but if his agent wants to speculate on a price for him, then any clubs who are interested should consider him to be worth 61 million.
'If someone were to offer that amount, then I don't think I could guarantee that he would stay 100 percent.'

Prince William as he meets the England team in the dressing room to wish them World Cup luck

He may have been just another one of the thousands screaming from the stands as England thrashed Peru three goals to nil.
But Prince William couldn't resist making a trip down to the Wembley dressing room at full time to pass on his personal congratulations.
Greeting the exhausted and towel-clad victors, the Duke also wished them luck for the fast-approaching World Cup.

William, who is president of the Football Association (FA), spent time with each player in the 23-man squad discussing the match and what's in store for Rio.
They have just two more warm up matches to go - against Ecuador and Honduras in Miami - before the tournament begins.
After sailing past Peru - with no injuries - spirits in the dressing room were high.

The prince caught with goal-scorers Daniel Sturridge and Gary Cahill mid-undressing for a quick chat about the confidence boost they've given the side.
He also joked with Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, and the squad's captain Steven Gerrard before they had a debrief with manager Roy Hodgson.
Hodgson is doing his best to downplay any excitement surrounding England's hopes in Rio.

Earlier this week, Justin's studio time was interrupted by a group of young female fans, who had camped out to see the singer.
However, after a while Justin decided to treat the fans with a kiss after climbing over a barrier to meet them.
Justin agreed to paparazzi requests to pose for pictures, but added: 'I just wanna say hi to my fans.'

The troubled star is said to be 'trying to be a better person' after a number of recent controversies, including being arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and getting into altercations with members of the public for allegedly taking pictures of him.
And Justin, who donated $545,000 to AIDS/ HIV research at the amfAR's 21st Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Antibes, France last week, recently urged fans not to believe everything they read about him and insisted he wants to be a good person.
He tweeted: 'My mom raised me to be kind to others. I get judged, harassed, and I try to take the high road. Sometimes it isn't easy. But we keep trying.
'I will continue to be the man my mother raised. I love people and I will try to be kind even when things are not fair. Don't believe rumors. (sic)'

Arsenal lead City and Chelsea in chase for Fabregas as Barca tell star he can leave for the right price

Arsenal have discussed the prospect of activating their buy-back option on Cesc Fabregas this summer as the midfielder prepares to leave Barcelona.
The Gunners have more urgent transfer business to address with the capture of a new right-back, defensive central midfielder and striker at the top of Arsene Wenger's shopping list.
But the idea of bringing Fabregas back to the Emirates Stadium is gathering pace behind-the-scenes at Arsenal, with the prospect of tabling an offer for the midfielder viewed as a realistic possibility.

In selling Fabregas to Barcelona, the north London club secured a first-option clause on their former captain - though that can only be triggered upon the Spain international informing the Catalan club that he wants to leave.
It is also understood that the clause is set at a fixed price of £25million.
Barca chiefs are open to selling Fabregas, but, despite the clause, are determined to reclaim as much of the £35million spent on the 27-year-old as possible.
Arsenal believe that if Fabregas returns to the Premier League this summer, the Emirates Stadium is his preferred destination.
Manchester United are not believed to be interested in signing Fabregas this summer, despite the club's failed attempts to land him last summer.

Robin Van Persie: I'd walk on fire for Van Gaal

The striker admits that he owes his coach for making him captain of the Dutch national side and says that Netherlands will "do something special" at the World Cup

Van Gaal Van Persie Netherlands 15052014
Robin van Persie says that he would "walk on fire" for Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal.

The 30-year-old will captain the Dutch national side at the World Cup this summer, while Van Gaal will leave Netherlands to take up his post as Manchester United manager after the tournament.

Van Persie has tipped the Oranje to "do something special" in Brazil and praised the coach's leadership.

"Van Gaal gave me all the confidence I can ask for. He made me the main striker, my favourite position, at last. He made me captain. I owe him something," Van Persie told The Blizzard.

"So I will be as sharp as a knife in Brazil. I will walk on fire for him if I have to – like the rest of the team.

"We have a lot of options. Our coach has a lot of choices over there. I think we are going to do something special."

Netherlands will face Chile, Australia and reigning champions Spain in Group B at the finals.
