Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco expecting their first baby

Monaco's Prince Albert II and his South African wife Charlene are expecting their first child together, they announced today.
The 36-year-old South African former Olympic swimmer and her husband, 56, issued a statement through the royal palace expressing their 'immense joy'.
It said: 'Prince Albert and Princess Charlene have the immense joy to announce they are expecting a happy event. The birth is due at the end of the year.'

The news is sure to please the palace and end recent speculation about why Charlene, after nearly three years of marriage with 56-year-old Albert, had not yet provided a legitimate heir to the jet-set European principality.
The couple married in July 2011 in an opulent ceremony in the principality of Monaco, stomping ground of the rich known for its Grand Prix car race.
Prince Albert is the son of the late Prince Rainier III and actress Grace Kelly. Kelly set aside a career in Hollywood to become Princess Grace but died after a car crash in 1982.
Before her marriage into the ancient House of Grimaldi, whose family members have ruled since 1297, Charlene Wittstock was a national champion swimmer from South Africa.

The couple met when Albert presided over a swimming race in 2000 in which Wittstock was competing.
The royal family has been most recently in the news over the film that kicked off the Cannes Film Festival this month, 'Grace of Monaco' by French director Olivier Dahan.
The film starring Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly was derided by Albert and his two sisters, Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie, as 'a farce' based on 'erroneous and dubious historical references'.
The Duchess of Cambridge became pregnant with Prince George around a year-and-a-half after she married Prince William in April, 2011.
Albert is believed to be the father of at least two children out of wedlock and supports them from his multi-million pound fortune.
However, neither Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, who graduated from Fordham University's Bronx, New York, last month or Alexandre Coste, 10, has a claim to the throne.
Until the baby is born, the Monegasque heir remains Princess Caroline - Albert's older sister - and then her eldest son, Andrea Casiraghi, who's recently become a father.
The Monaco baby news is likely to set off a frenzy in the fashion press as to how she will dress her bump.
Demure Princess Charlene is known for her elegant fashion style, patronising designers such as Giorgio Armani, who designed her couture wedding dress.
Since her marriage, Charlene is styled as Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco. The previous holder of the style was her husband's mother, Grace Kelly, who died in 1982.

Peter Andre says he is not planning to propose to pregnant girlfriend Emily Macdonagh

No proposal: Peter Andre has said he isn't planning to propose to his pregnant girlfriend Emily Macdonagh, pictured in Surrey on Wednesday
They might be expecting their first child together but Peter Andre has said he is not planning to propose to pregnant girlfriend Emily Macdonagh any time soon.
The 40-year-old singer said reports he had been ring shopping were 'completely untrue' in his magazine column.
Writing in new! Peter said: 'A couple of magazines published stories last week saying I am planning to propose to Emily and have already been ring shopping.'

'One even claimed I am considering spending £60,000 on a ring. All I will say is that the stories are completely untrue and made up. People are just writing what they want. I have never discussed anything like that with anyone.'
Peter and Emily were seen out in Surrey together on Wednesday and it's clear they are happier than ever.
The 23-year-old medical student, who is thought to be four months pregnant, wore a pair of white jeans and a chunky cream jumper.

She showed off barely a hint of a baby bump in the outfit but seemed to have that mother-to-be glow.
Peter looked smart in a pair of dark jeans, a white T-shirt and a blazer for the outing.
The pair didn't seem perturbed by claims that Emily's parents aren't thrilled with their baby news.
Peter has has two children, Junior, eight and six-year-old Princess Tiaamii, with his ex-wife Katie Price.

A source told the Daily Mail that Emily's family were not happy she is expecting a child with the singer, who is 17 years her senior.
The source said: 'Her family thought it would just be a nice romance and that she would finish university and that as she matured it would run its course.'
'They like Pete but this was not the path they had planned for their daughter.'
However another source said that Emily's mother and father are happy with the union.
A source said that Pete is 'really close' to Emily's father Ru.
Adding: 'They have a good friendship, so it came completely out of the blue for someone to say otherwise. Ru would never have introduced Emily to Pete if he had an issue with his lifestyle...He spent two weeks in Zanzibar with Pete in June without Emily and they had a great time.'
The couple, who announced their happy news two weeks ago, have been dating for around a year after meeting through her father, a surgeon, who operated on Peter in 2010 to remove kidney stones.

Illinois GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Used Doctored News Headlines In TV Ad

Bruce Rauner (R), an Illinois businessman and gubernatorial candidate, is being called out for running a television ad with some altered news headlines about incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn (D), according to the Chicago Tribune.

In the ad, called "Headlines," the Rauner campaign shortened and even changed headlines that it attributed to various news organizations. One headline originally read "Quinn, Rauner spar on education in 1st 2014 event," and was altered in Rauner's ad to read “Quinn education cuts lead to teacher layoffs and larger class sizes.”

Another headline said "Quinn doubles down on tax hike gamble" and was used in Rauner's ad with the word "gamble" dropped.

The Chicago Tribune says three other headlines were altered in the ad as well.

Quinn said on Thursday that the ad, which first appeared the day before, highlights what he views as Rauner's "pattern of dishonesty."

Rauner spokesman Mike Schrimpf said in an email to The Associated Press that "the TV ad does not say everything that appears on screen was a headline."

"Due to time and space constraints, some of the phrases had to be condensed," he added.

Quinn is seen as vulnerable in his re-election bid. His anti-violence initiative is facing a federal probe due to allegations of mismanagement.

Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green are expecting their second child together.
The couple, who are already parents to 10-month-old son Noah, are said to be "very happy" with the news.
A representative for 27-year-old Megan told New York Post's Page Six: 'I can confirm Megan is expecting her second child with her husband Brian. They are both very happy.'

The couple first started dating in 2004 after they met on the set of Hope & Faith when she was just 18 years old and Brian was 30.
They originally became engaged in 2006, but called it off in 2009, only to reunite in 2010 and walk down the aisle.
Megan and Brian, 40, wed in a private ceremony in Hawaii in June, 2010.
They welcomed son Noah in September last year and are now adding to their brood, while Brian is also father to 11-year-old son Kassius from his past relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo.

When Noah was born Megan and Brian managed to keep his birth a secret for two weeks but Megan eventually confirmed rumours on her Facebook page, writing: 'We are humbled to have the opportunity to call ourselves the parents of this beautiful soul and I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to know this kind of boundless, immaculate love.
'Thanks to those of you who wish to send your positive energy and well wishes.'
She has since spoken out about her wish to have more children and give Noah a sibling.
Happy families: The pair originally started dating in 2004, when Megan was 18 and Brian was 30, they since went on to get married in Hawaii in 2010

The Transformers star told Marie Claire earlier this year: 'All I wanted to do my whole, whole life was have a baby and, now, I've finally done it.
'I just want to give Noah as much of myself as I can. And I want to have more kids. That is where my heart is.'
Megan is currently on set in New York filming as reporter April O'Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film has created an excited buzz amongst both old and new fans, but everyone still has almost a year to wait before they see the movie.

The film is not slated for release until June 2014.
This time around the plot involves aliens who invade Earth and inadvertently spawn the mutated reptile warriors, the Ninja Turtles, who rise up against them to defend the world.

'I don’t know how I should take that,' Megan joked.

Rickie Lambert close to completing £4m Liverpool move after undergoing medical on Merseyside

Southampton and England striker Rickie Lambert appears a step closer to completing a move to Liverpool after undergoing a medical on Merseyside.
The Anfield club are understood to have agreed a £4million deal for the 32-year-old, who was once on their books as an academy player.
Liverpool are thought to be keen to complete a deal before Lambert heads to England's pre-World Cup training camp in the United States on Sunday.
Lambert told Sky Sports News: 'The medical went well but as you know I can't say anything.
'I'll speak properly about it, hopefully, very shortly.
'It's been a crazy football year to be honest, the way it's carrying on.'
Lambert arrived at Manchester airport after completing his medical with Liverpool

The initial £4m fee will rise according to the appearances he makes, while the club were keen to keep his whereabouts under wraps.
He arrived at Liverpool Spire Hospital at around nine o'clock on Saturday morning; after the medical, a club car reversed right up to the entrance before bundling the striker into the back.
Lambert was then taken to the club's training ground at Melwood ahead of a flight back down to Southampton later in the afternoon.
The 32-year-old, who began his career at Liverpool’s academy, will be the first major arrival in what is expected to be a busy summer for the club.
He could even be followed by two of his team-mates from Southampton, as Liverpool are still negotiating for £25m-rated Adam Lallana and have also targeted Dejan Lovren to bolster their defence.
A boyhood Liverpool fan, Lambert finally looks set to earn his big move after a career largely spent in the lower leagues. He wasn't deemed strong enough by Steve McMahon at Blackpool as a youngster before moves to Macclesfield, Stockport, Rochdale and Bristol Rovers. Alan Pardew then spent £1million to take the target man to St Mary's in 2009.
Rodgers wanted the deal done before Roy Hodgson takes his side away to Brazil for the start of the World Cup.
Lambert scored 16 goals for club and country last season and will provide the Premier League title chasers with a different option up front to supplement Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

'I will be nearing 70 when my youngest child goes to college': St. Elmo's Fire star Andrew McCarthy, 50, nervous about third child

He was an icon of the '80s with such hits as St. Elmo's Fire, Pretty In Pink and Less Than Zero.
So it's no wonder Andrew McCarthy, 50, feels he's just too old to have another baby.
In the October issue of Town & Country magazine the former Brat Packer opens his heart about the stress he feels over having to hit the playground once again with his third child, due this fall.

The '80s icon and his Mrs.: Andrew McCarthy announced in the October issue of Town & Country magazine that he is expecting his third child with Dolores Rice, who he married in 2011

The former teen idol, who has shared film scenes with such A-listers as Demi Moore, Robert Downey Jr. and Kim Cattrall, confessed that he is excited but scared.
'That my wife is with child is, of course, good news. It's fantastic news. And yet it is news that does not sit easily with me,' he writes in the article titled Baby Boom.
'I already have two children, one by my first wife and another with my current—and currently pregnant—wife. My oldest lives with us half the time and with his mother, a few blocks away, the other half.
'I adore my children, naturally. My son [Sam] is 11; my daughter [Willow] recently turned seven....The thing is, I turned 50 this year. I was fairly old getting into the child business to begin with, but now...'

The New Jersey native, who will next star in The Haunted Secret with Bai Ling, is worried he will be too old to take proper care of baby number three.
'When I do the math, and I have, repeatedly, I will be nearing 70—s-e-v-e-n-t-y—when my youngest child goes off to college,' he says.
'That is, assuming I live that long and that I can still afford college. From everything I hear, 70 is no longer 70.... And now, with the notion that my sixties will be spent with a teenager at home, I am left gasping as I watch pipe dreams of extended travel, time with my wife, and visions of blessed solitude go up in smoke.
'I used to be grateful I waited so long to start a family, glad I was more emotionally mature when my kids came along,' Andrew writes.
'But I never imagined myself one of those fathers mistaken for Grandpa at morning drop-off.'
Andrew, who says his wife was five months along at the time he wrote the article, points out just how stressed he is
'The greatest, deepest joys in my life have, without doubt, been associated with my children. So why this apprehension about another?' he confesses.
'Or maybe it's worry that my relationship with my wife will get sliced even further, with yet another piece of her going to someone else who cries out for attention.'

While he is panic struck, his wife Dolores Rice, who he married in 2011, is excited.
'My wife has plunged into serious and classic nesting mode,' the actor and travel writer continues.
'She has become urgently obsessed with finding a bigger, better home. Now. I, on the other hand, have recently been employing an equally time-honored response: denial.'
One thing Andrew dreads going back to? Those darn swings and slides!
'I always hated the playground,' he adds.
'A few months ago I was struck suddenly with relief and a strange form of pride when it occurred to me that the hours spent chasing my kids under the jungle gym and pushing them on truck tires hanging from heavy chains were mostly over. The idea of zooming down the slide with my new infant on my lap fills me with exhaustion. Been there, done that.'
The New Yorker ends his article on an optimistic note.
'History promises—and I trust the future will bear this out—that the moment my new child is born, all my misplaced anxieties and selfish doubts will be swept away,' he concludes.
Good luck Andrew!
