Video: Serge Aurier says he'sgoing to Arsenal to replace City bound Bacary Sagna
Arsenal appear to be edging ever
closer to securing an early replacement for Bacary Sagna, with Toulouse
right-back Serge Aurier struggling to keep things under wraps.
Sagna confirmed last week that he was leaving the club, giving Arsene Wenger an easy starting point for his summer recruitment.
Aurier has been linked with a £7.5m switch for some time, and when posing with a Gunners fan on film, seemed to confirm that he was on his way to the Premier League.
The Youtube clip, entitled 'Serge Aurier tells Arsenal fan he is going to Arsenal' shows Twitter account holder @Kandzet with the star, and was also retweeted by Aurier's official account.
The 21-year-old was warming up for the Ivory Coast's World Cup warm-up with Bosnia-Herzegovina when he spoke to the onlooker.
The transfer window only opened on Sunday and while Arsenal are expected to spend big to compete for the title, Wenger had admitted he didn't expect to conduct much business until after the World Cup.
But Sagna's announcement may have pushed the French boss into action, with Aurier's stock sure to rise in Brazil this summer. He was also named in Ligue 1's Team of the Year of last season, further boosting his reputation.
Atsuto Uchida and Callum Chambers were also thought to be on the club's radar to compete with Carl Jenkinson for the full-back slot, but the self-confessed Arsenal fan has leapfrogged the duo.
He talked up the move in May, telling Eurosport France: 'I’ve never prioritised a club in England as even the promoted clubs are respectable. I will privilege the one that will show the most interest in me, that will give me the most game time. After that, you can’t really say no to Arsenal.
'It’s a club with history, with a French manager, who has welcomed many Francophones. Plus, Arsenal are always thereabouts when it comes to trophies and a club that plays in the Champions League.'
Aurier has also taken pictures of himself wearing an Gunners shirt in the past, and retweeted other articles and blogs relating to a summer switch to the Emirates Stadium.

#StartBelieving: I can win Golden Boot at the World Cup -Kun Aguero

Argentina star Sergio Aguero believes he can take the World Cup by storm and win the Golden Boot this summer.No Argentine has lifted the top goalscorer award since Mario Kempes fired in six goals en route to glory as tournament hosts in 1978, with Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta and Hernan Crespo having since finished as runner-up.
Aguero did not score when he made his World Cup debut four years ago but he has faith that 2014 will be the year he shines on the global stage having impressed with his goals at Manchester City this season.
"Of course I can win the Golden Boot! It's there to be won," the 25-year-old said in a new self-interview to mark the launch of PUMA Tricks.
"We could also win the World Cup but it won't be easy!"
Aguero might be considered among the best footballers in the world but he knows his limits - specifically, he tries to avoid dribbling trickery.
"I always wanted to try to copy the stepover, but one day I tried to do it in training and just fell over so I stopped trying to do it," he said. "Now I just play my own game."
Aguero is among a number of global superstars who will be sporting the new PUMA Tricks boots in Brazil this summer.

James Blunt seduces a woman by playing her You're Beautiful in EXCLUSIVE Postcards video
He hit the big time thanks to his catchy track You're Beautiful.
And James Blunt is still using the song to land himself a date - judging by the inclusion of one particularly attractive, leggy brunette in the video for his new track Postcards.
In the video, exclusive to MailOnline, James catches sight of the woman walking along as he drives beside her.
His two female companions in the car then decide to change the stereo of the vehicle to play You're Beautiful in a bid to help James seduce the stunning brunette.
However, James told MailOnline that the scene was actually only included at the last minute after he met the woman the day before the video shoot.
He said: 'Look out for the girl walking past in the middle of the video - she was a journalist who'd interviewed me the day before. I'd asked if she'd like to be in the video, but the director said there was no space for her in the script.
'So we decided to just stop the video halfway through and have her walk past to the tune of You're Beautiful.'
And in the video, the ploy definitely works, as James is then seen dancing with the girl on stage while belting out the catchy track at a party.
Postcards is the second single from James' fourth studio album Moon Landing, and is due for release on May 19th.

i-D join Rosie at the Wasing Estate as she runs, cycles and gallops her way through the short film, capturing the essence of the British countryside and featuring a cameo by Rosie’s very own horse, Floyd.
Despite her tender years, Rosie is already a star of her school’s lacrosse team, competes in British Eventing competitions and has managed to fit a British Vogue cover around all her extra-curricular activities.
