er latest
film is a hot contender for this year’s Palm d’Or, but it was a rather
different looking Rosario Dawson who attended a promotional photo-call
ahead of its official launch at the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival.
The
35-year-old actress joined co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Mireille Enos on
the picturesque coastal town’s Promenade de la Croisette as they kicked
off a publicity campaign on behalf of new film The Captive.
Sporting
a two-piece ensemble with a highly distinctive print that appeared to
take its cue from abstract art, rather than high fashion, Rosario was on
form as she posed for photos on Thursday.

But
it was her high shave hairstyle, restricted to the left side of her
head, that caught the eye – and the actress appeared keen to ensure it
dominated by rakishly sweeping her otherwise long locks to the right.
The
marginal buzz cut afforded her look an edgy flourish as spirited
Rosario laughed and joked with her co-stars – in particular Mireille,
with whom she playfully rubbed noses.
Rounding
off her ensemble with a pair of chessboard print heels, the Kids
actress was at her photogenic best, and she struck a series of sultry
poses for cameramen after jetting into the French Riviera to promote her
latest feature.
