"'Kim's way more beautiful than I am talented." Kanye West at their wedding

If he's the King of egos, then she's the Queen of vanity.
But for once Kanye West played the doting courtier as he came out in full praise of his bride on Friday evening - and the setting could not have been more fitting.
The rapper gushed while celebrating a pre-wedding party in Versailles' iconic Hall Of Mirrors, which no doubt provided the happy pair ample opportunity to admire themselves.

According to US Weekly, Kanye spent the night gushing about his love for Kim. A source said: 'Kanye kept making the cutest remarks to her. He said, It's amazing to look around this room, there are so many talented people.'"
'Then Kim said, "And beautiful people."' Kanye replied, "Yeah, but Kim's way more beautiful than I am talented." It was so sweet - he said a couple adorable things like that. They seemed so happy.'
Lana del Rey supplied the entertainment at the opulent engagement party, taking the stage to serenade Kimye - upon Kanye's special request - with her song Young And Beautiful and went the extra mile by performing three songs in total.
Kim is said to be a 'huge fan' of the 27-year-old singer and Kanye hired an orchestra to play her hit Young And Beautiful when he proposed to the reality show star at the San Francisco AT&T park last October. The rapper then requested the singer to perform his bride-to-be's favourite song - which was made famous in the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Great Gatsby - at their lavish party in the Hall Of Mirrors.
Although, according to Entertainment Tonight, the Summertime Sadness artist was late to the event, forcing Kimye to take the stage and entertain their guests, even poking a bit of fun at Del Rey's tardiness.
Earlier that same day Lana was spotted rehearsing in the hallways of the Palace, preparing for her performance later that night.
'Best man' Jay Z and Beyonce were not thought to have been at the event but are still thought to be attending the wedding.

According to tmz the rapper hired controversial magician David Blaine who worked his way around the crowds performing tricks.
From inside the party Giancarlo Giammetti, the honorary president of the Valentino Fashion House, shared snaps of the happy couple as they took the stage to greet guests.
Giammetti also posted a family portrait of the bride-to-be with her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie with the caption: Keeping up with a great family'.
The fashion maven even captured a rare moment with Kanye smiling as he gazed lovingly at his fiancee as they greeted guests within the Hall Of Mirrors.
Fireworks were said to have been fired off over the Palace grounds during Del Rey's performance as female musicians wearing Marie Antoinette-inspired frocks and wigs were seen preparing to perform.

Attendants at the fete wore baroque costumes, in keeping with the 18th century Palace, as ornate cakes were brought in, according to E! News, for the decadent wedding feast - that is reported to have featured wild salmon and a large salad buffet.
A source told tmz that there was no expense spared when it came to the food: 'It was all French stuff. Pretty much everything was truffled.' The site adds that the jars of caviar with blini were 'other-worldly.'
A Palace worker at Versailles told Entertainment Tonight that 1,000 bottles of rosé champagne was on hand for the 100 guests in attendance.
Party-goers were also given full access to roam the Chateau grounds, and even explore any of the many rooms in the Palace. Horse drawn carriages were also provided for attendees.
US Weekly reports that guests were greeted by men on horseback and handed a glass of Ace of Spades champagne, before being shown into the famous Hall of Mirrors, where an orchestra dressed in 17th-century ensembles sat underneath the chandeliers.
According to the insider, the baroque costumed workers at the Palace were given instructions not to speak to Kimye's guests, who were given free reign to enjoy the Palace's many delights.

CARL FROCH EXCLUSIVE: I fight to secure my family's future... and I'm not done yet

There is a wistful look on the chiselled features of Carl Froch as he holds his year-old daughter Natalia on his lap.
George Groves would be unwise to seize upon the tender mood of this photograph, taken by Froch’s partner Rachael Cordingley, as indication that the man he is about to fight in front of 80,000 people is going soft in his sixth year as a world champion.
The moment is poignant because Froch has been rationing his cherished family time to the barest minimum during his two-and-a-half months of preparation for the re-match which will fill Wembley Stadium to throbbing capacity on Saturday night.
Family time: Carl Froch takes a break from training to spend time with his baby Natalia ahead of his re-match with George Groves at Wembley next weekend
Family time: Carl Froch takes a break from training to spend time with his baby Natalia ahead of his re-match with George Groves at Wembley next weekend

Baby Natalia was a distraction for the Nottingham Cobra prior to his controversial first fight with Groves in November. Now she has grown into an intense, additional incentive for him to put down the abrasive challenge from his fellow Englishman, this time for good and all.
‘I don’t like being away from Rachael and the kids,’ says Froch. ‘I didn’t think that sacrifice was necessary for the first fight with Groves so I stayed at home while training.
The message is clear: Froch in his gym in Sheffield with the message 'Impossible is nothing' on the wall

‘That was one of the corners I cut which made that night more difficult for me than it should have been. I’m not making that mistake again.’
The holder of the IBF and WBA super-middleweight titles has been spending most of his nights in spartan accommodation in Sheffield, submitting himself to the punishing regime devised by his trainer Rob McCracken.
The diet is as disciplined as the extreme physical demands and the absolute concentration on the tactical and technical details of their fight plan.
At the end of a hard day spent with him in the gym at the English Sports Institute, where McCracken also nurtures the British Olympians who landed a shoal of medals at the London Games, he allows himself a visit to a local Italian restaurant.
This rare treat amounts to half a chicken breast ‘grilled plain, no oil’ and a small side salad ‘no lettuce, one ounce of vinegar dressing on the side  just in case’ washed down with chilled water.
Not that this man o’ war ever has difficult scaling on or below the 12 stone limit: ‘Nah, I could come in on the weight in the morning and wish I could fight him tomorrow night.’
Rather, he keeps himself lean and hungry as he continues to consolidate his family’s future.
The Forbes Rich List estimates Froch’s net worth as between $20 to $30 million (£12m-£18m). Whatever the exact figure, the record Wembley gate for boxing and Sky pay-TV sales will boost it by at least £5m.
He has earned every penny and dime the hard way. This second encounter with Groves is his 12th  consecutive world championship fight and he has slugged it out with all the finest super-middleweights on earth, beating all but one of them.

Yet it took him time to catch the public imagination and build his earnings base.
He recalls: ‘I got about thirty grand for each of my first couple of title fights. But I didn’t waste the money. I bought two small houses in a part of Nottingham which wasn’t very fashionable at the time and rented them out. They’ve paid for themselves now.’
The Froch property portfolio has grown in parallel with his rise in purse-power and he says: ‘First I had Rachael and myself to look after. Then my great lad Rocco came along and now we have Natalia as this lovely extra reminder to me to provide for them for the rest of their lives.
‘I’m fighting for the future of the whole family and I’m not done yet. Not by a long chalk.’
Nor is money the only spur. Fighting passion burns deep inside this man of war-hardened Polish descent, as does pride in being a world champion.

Controversial ending: Referee Howard Foster stopped the fight in Froch's favour in the ninth round

It is those professional instincts which reinforce the most resilient chin in the prize-ring, that granite jaw which enables him to get up from sledge-hammer punches like the one with which Groves floored him in the first round in November and hit back to win.
As Froch is pushing himself in training Anthony Joshua, Britain’s super-heavyweight Olympic champion, arrives at the sports centre to help prepare some of McCracken’s GB team for this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Joshua is excited to be on the Wembley undercard but he jokes with Froch: ‘Not getting as much as you.’
Froch grins and says: ‘Don’t worry about the money yet Big Josh. I wasn’t earning a lot when I became world champion. I’m getting my rewards now. Concentrate on the prize. For you that’s the world heavyweight title. Get that and everything else follows.’
Start of the journey: Anthony Joshua has set out on his quest to become heavyweight champion of the world

But lose those belts and Froch, at coming up 37, knows it would be a hard road back to the summit.
That is one reason why he is pounding the Tarmac with dervish zeal.
The furore over his somewhat premature stoppage of Groves, when Saint George of London was ahead on the scorecards going into the ninth round, has resulted in a return bout which will smash to smithereens all box office records for boxing in Britain.
The controversy also drives Froch on and up the lung-bursting hills of his regular dawn runs. And no corner-cutting this time.

He says: ‘Groves tries to make fun of me keeping my charts and diaries. Well, sport is a science now, George.
‘Before our first fight I didn’t get close to my best times. Now I’m going five or six seconds faster, partly  by accelerating to the top of the steepest gradient of all, a 1 in 4.
‘I couldn’t believe it when I broke my own records.’
If you don’t apply the science, Froch discovered five months ago, the human fighting machine slows down.
‘I have to be honest with you,’ he says. ‘I did most of my running last time on the treadmill. No matter what anyone tries to tell you, it’s not the same.

‘I took Groves for granted. I was only at 80 per cent of my best.  If he thinks it will be the same fight over again he’s in for a big surprise.
‘My resting pulse rate is back down to 36, I feel again the way  I’ve usually felt since I became world champion. Like never mind 12 rounds,  I’m your old-fashioned 15-round fighter.
‘Not George.  He did well for six rounds against me but then the tide turned. He weakened as I got back into it. He can’t take the pressure. As I began hitting him with big shots he crumbled. Maybe it was stopped early but it was only a matter of time.
‘He’s one of those who goes into the 10th, 11th and 12th rounds seeing the finishing line and hoping to get through it. Not when you’re a world champion. Not me. That’s when I’m coming to get you.’
Froch admits allowed Groves to get under his skin with his mind games, lost his temper and his focus. He has responded by employing a sports psychologist to ensure he fights with his brain not his emotions on Saturday.

What does Groves keep whispering in his ear?
‘He keeps telling me to try to hold it together,’ says Froch. ‘Hold it together? How many world title fights have I had? He’s had the one and even at my worst I found a way to beat him.
‘So I'm cool now. He no longer bothers me. I’m only interested in being on top of my game and boxing a smart fight.’
Groves has come across as bright and articulate - Machiavellian even - during their grating exchanges.
Froch is intelligent, too. That depth is evident when you ask if he thinks Groves is truly convinced when he says he is certain to win second time around.
The Cobra hisses: ‘I like this quotation: You can’t get a fool to question his wisdom.’
Other questions were left hanging in the chill Manchester night air when referee Howard Foster abruptly interrupted their violent dialogue.
Froch believes he has all the answers.

Fabregas no longer on Manchester United's radar as Van Gaal isn't keen on the Barcelona midfielder

Manchester United will not be trying to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, a year after failing in their on-off chase for the Spaniard.
Fabregas, 27, is believed to be keen on a return to the Premier League after a disappointing spell with his hometown club. But while his first club, Arsenal, are watching developments, United will not enter an auction for a player who is not on new manager Louis van Gaal’s wish-list.
Last summer Fabregas was the top target for David Moyes but, after weeks of talks and two bids of up to £30million, the player decided to stay in Spain.

The resulting fall-out saw Moyes and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward criticised for failing to land their man and their partnership never recovered.
Van Gaal will try to persuade Germany centre-half Mats Hummels to join from Borussia Dortmund and £12m Ukraine winger Yevhen Konoplyanka is also on Van Gaal’s radar. Southampton left-back Luke Shaw is still likely to join, despite Patrice Evra signing a one-year contract last week.
Shaw, 18, will only sign on the understanding he is first choice.

QPR vow to fight £50m fine for breaking FFP rules after securing £134m Premier League place

Queens Park Rangers co-owner Tony Fernandes has confirmed the club will fight the prospect of a £50million fine.
Sportsmail revealed on Saturday how QPR chiefs had started seeking legal advice in preparation for a costly courtroom battle as they plan to fight sanctions for breaching Football League Financial Fair Play regulations.

Celebration: Joey Barton carries QPR owner Tony Fernandes after beating Derby to secure promotion

In March, the club posted a staggering £65.4million loss for the year ending May 2013. Under the rules, clubs are only entitled to make an £8million loss per season.
After clinching promotion by beating Derby 1-0 in the Championship play-off final, Rangers are now facing a fine of up to £50million for breaking the financial guidelines.
But Fernandes has confirmed the newly-promoted club will fight the sanctions in the law courts.
'Will we fight the fine? What do you think? After all we've been through, it's my middle name – Fight It Fernandes,' he said

'My view is consistent, that it is very unfair for a club that has been relegated as the wage difference between the Premier League and Championship is impossible. There should be a period for clubs to rectify their salaries.
'If we were in the Championship in two years with that wage bill it wouldn't be right. I'm in favour of FFP but it is unfair for a club coming down.'
The club will not be punished for their financial results during the 2012/13 season - but will for the current campaign.

Rangers are not required to reveal those figures until December - but given they recorded a £65.4million loss, it seems hugely unlikely that they'll be able to reel in their deficit to the £8million threshold.
And it is understood the club have already opened dialogue with their lawyers as they plot a way to fight against a crippling fine.
The threat of financial sanctions will play a significant role in the club's summer spending plans.
Even with the prospect of a £134million cash injection, Rangers sources insists the club will not embark on the extravagant spending that has left the club facing financial meltdown.

Petr Cech is expected to remain Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper next season, with Thibaut Courtois due to be installed as his successor from next summer.
According to club insiders, Cech will be given the nod for one more year but 22-year-old Courtois, who has developed into one of the world’s best keepers while on loan at Atletico Madrid, will be offered a lucrative long-term contract over the summer — and the promise of the No 1 shirt from 2015-16.

It is possible Courtois will remain with Atletico for another year.
The future of back-up keeper Mark Schwarzer, 41, is also unclear. His one-year deal at Chelsea has ended and an extension has yet to be agreed.
