There I was, just minding my own business and picking up a present for a friend when I spotted a most unlikely love, a dress I'd never in a million years suspect myself loving. Full disclosure here, my first thoughts when I saw this dress were of Little House on the Prairie. Remember Laura Ingall and the pinafore dresses she used to wear? For some reason, that's where my mind went and where my mind goes my Amex follows. The dress came home with me and the rest is history. It's part of my layering squad now for the winter months. But, just before the cold winds blow, here's how I wear it in the last days of warmth.

Yes, I went on a cruise and loved it: Setting sail with Seabourn Odyssey
It's so hard to admit when you are wrong, in any situation. But, when you have to eat crow, you might as well do it while sipping champagne and ordering another tray of caviar to your room as you pass by the rocky hills of a Grecian coastline. Alright, maybe admitting I'm wrong isn't so hard after all. And, ladies and gents, I was wrong, oh so wrong, about the idea of cruises. And Seabourn Luxury Cruises have shown me the error of my ways. Yes, they were the ones serving the champagne and caviar to wash away my completely ridiculous preconceived notions about the idea of spending a week at sea.
Let me tell you what I would previously think of when someone mentions they were going on a cruise. I would conjure up an image of an overweight male, black socks pulled to his knees, white tennis...

Style Update: Swinging Leopard with Uncle Karl
Loving me a bit of leopard today, as you can tell. What I'm not loving is that I paid full price for this skirt and naturally it's now on sale for 39.99. Ugh! Why is it that the things I buy full price always go on sale and the things I wait to go on sale always sell out before having the chance to be marked down? Ok, I promise the moan is over. Now onto Uncle Karl.
Yes, that's Karl Lagerfeld you see behind me. He's also joined by Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Naomi Campbell. It's like a massive fashion meeting in Notting Hill and I decided to bring the print party. Yes, I'm clashing gingham and leopard and holding on to the days of summer with calf hair shower shoes - as my mom calls them.

The perfect fit: A shopping app that will make returns a thing of the past?
The days of strolling through a mall or down the street in search of the perfect party dress are long gone, ladies and gents. We have officially come into a virtual world when it comes to filling our closets with perfect ensembles. While I couldn't be happier about the whole prospect of never again having to elbow my way down Oxford Street, online shopping has presented itself with a new set of problems that weren't previously apparent. My biggest complaint? It has to be sizing. I am forever finding myself spending £400 when ordering an £100 dress simply because I have to order the item in three to four different sizes. Retailers are impossible with their sizing. No one is ever the same and I swear my closet has so many different items of clothing with so many different sizes that you would...

Like it or not, it's finally winter coat weather here in London. Sure, the days of summer dresses are long gone, but let's embrace the love of layering, the season of over-the-knee boots and the oversized coziness of cashmere knits. Style Diary: Designer & High Street mish mash
For those of you that know me and know me well, you'll always know I'm one for mixing hi and low. I love a great designer purchase that will see you through the years, and hopefully be passed down through generations. But, I'm also an accessories freak that loves a high street find that's good quality with a budget price point. This season I have to hand it to NEXT. They've pulled one out of the bag when it comes to shoes and bags, but then again I feel like I say that every season of every year. I am a bit biased, as they are one of the only high street retailers to religiously carry their shoe sizes into size 9UK (11US). They are also the only people, that I know of, where you can order anything on their site up until midnight and get it delivered next day to your front door. Just saying....
