FFG interiors: My Little London Flat Part 2, The Rest...

While the living room is the heart of the home, in my home at least, I do believe the soul is found in the more personal spaces - the spaces where you relax, sleep and just generally decompress on the solo. So today, I'm sharing my bedroom and my second bedroom, which I've turned into a dressing room of sorts. Yes, I know it's all rather decadent. In reality, this space started as an office. But, I found I was doing all my writing on the sofa, so I decided to make this space a place where I could either play dress-up on a regular basis and/or sit and read a book.

Oh the importance of redefining a space. And may I just say that designating a space to sit and contemplate your day has completely changed the day from start to finish. Like some character from Hitchcock, I sit in my bay window and watch as the world goes by. Yes, perhaps slightly creepy. Just call me the neighbourhood watch. But, my brain just switches off of high speed mode and takes a left turn into creative consciousness. It's marvelous. Find a space for this in your home...

Now, a little note about the bedroom. Yeah, it's small. It's tiny. There's barely enough room to step out of the bed between the mattress and the wall. But, this is London. What do you expect? Funnily enough, I love the smallness of the room. It's like sleeping in a cubby hole and is incredibly comforting. It's why I chose to make the smaller room the one I slept in. I mean really all you're doing is sleeping in there. So I leave the bigger room for changing, contemplation and creativity. These things need space to breathe, no?!

Enjoy a first look at the new spaces in my life. It's not a permanent home, but it's my home away from home for now!

KATE MOSS for TOPSHOP dress
MIU MIU sunglasses

V festival was officially the last concert on this summer’s schedule, and I’m not usually the festival type! However, I can’t deny that running through the fields in great company (and with no mud in sight!) has been somewhat amazing. This life is starting to grow on me, eager and scared to see my attitude for next year…

So like planned, together with
Swarovski we road tripped up north last weekend for the final festival stretch! With James Bay and Sam Smith strongly on our minds and a whole weekend full of promised sunshine, it was the recipe for success. We arrived at the happy and hectic fields, I decided to wear the same jewellery get-up in my previous post, more is more for festivals, right? However, with a boho-gypsy twist this time, allowing myself to channel my comfortably dark side now that we are running out of summer days.

Swarovski’s Delta collection was more than perfect for V festival, totally unplanned but I felt like I was wearing a collection made for the occasion with the arrow like shape and the subtle crystal pavĂ©. The necklace trio I’m wearing is sold separately but works even better stacked, especially paired with the ring set. Matchy matchy, but sometimes it just makes sense. Black with gold or rose gold tones are unarguably the strongest combination you can wear, hence the vamp-like approach. Was this the end of summer? My sartorial clock seems to think so, whilst I remain in full denial in everything from seasons to, well, weekdays.

Camera Girl Print

Hi Fifi Fans,

I've been so busy this week I haven't even had time for even the incy-est shopping trip. The main reason is I took delivery of a whole pile of delicious new prints and have been signing, photographing, collating and tapping away at my MacBook to get them ready for my online store relaunch mid September. I'll be sharing a few of the newest goodies before then like this lovely print 'Camera Girl' which is one of my faves. I have new charms too and ...drumroll... the brooches are back! Hope you love everything as much as I do.
