Harry Styles gets the giggles as he joins the fashion pack in front row at Henry Holland show

Harry Styles has been a regular at London Fashion Week for the past few seasons.
So it was no surprise to see the One Direction heart-throb on the front row of his pal Henry Holland's House Of Holland Spring/Summer 2014 show on Saturday.
The 19-year-old singer joined his BFF Nick Grimshaw and their usual social set Pixie Geldof, Kelly Osbourne and Alexa Chung at the London Fashion Week show.

Although evidently enjoying the view of the slender models showcasing Holland's latest collection, Harry appeared to find the show entertaining as he was spotted bursting into laughter during the show.
However, he managed to compose himself somewhat and wolf-whistled his pal Henry who came out to greet his public at the climax of the show.
Harry was in good company in the front row at the BFC Showspace at Somerset House, squeezed in between Radio 1 DJ Nick and pop star Nicola Roberts.

She is a pampered princess who doesn't even wash her own hair so Helen Flanagan's new job might prove a little tough for her.
The 22-year-old is working at a spa as part of a new show and she arrived for work looking the part on Monday, whether she can rise to the demands of the role is another matter.

Up to the job? Helen Flanagan arrived for her first day at work on Celebrity Super Spa on Monday dressed in a tight floral dress

She had dressed up for the occasion, in a tight black Dolce & Gabbana dress with a floral print.

It seems that Helen, who recently split from boyfriend Scott Sinclair, may have opted for height over practicality when it came to her footwear choice, wearing a pair of vertiginous Louboutin heels.
She will, no doubt, have found it difficult to complete a full day's work stood in the towering shoes.

It seems that the stresses of potential employment might have gotten to the former actress, she arrived clutching a packet of cigarettes.
Will she be able to handle it: The 22-year-old ex-soap star seemed nervous for the first day of filming and arrived clutching a packet of cigarettes

Helen has been suffering from heartbreak in recent months after finding out her footballer beau was sexting someone else. While Helen has split from Scott she recently admitted she was hoping for a reconciliation.
The new Channel 5 show will see Helen, along with five other celebrities plucking and preening members of the public.
They will received tutoring and training in many different areas including vajazzles, fish pedicures and vampire facials.
Speaking about the show Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor: Entertainment, Daytime & Soaps said: 'I’m taking great delight in imagining how our celebrities are going to cope with tattooing, not to mention the body piercing. Would you let an ex-soap star near your nether regions…?'

Four U.S. team sports stars place in Forbes Celebrity 100

The NFL rules the sports world, particularly the American portion of it — but according to an annual ranking of celebrity clout by Forbes magazine, the stars of the country's most powerful sports league ride the bench.
The 2013 version of the Forbes Celebrity 100, released late last month and printed in the magazine's July 15 edition, includes two NFL players. No surprise that they're both quarterbacks, both Super Bowl winners and recent recipients of lucrative contract extensions: the New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees at No. 50, and the New England Patriots' Tom Brady at 65.
In all, 17 athletes are represented, led by tennis star Roger Federer at No. 8. Justin Bieber is No. 9
LeBron James of the NBA champion Miami Heat is the highest-ranked team sport athlete at 16th; Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is, coincidentally, No. 24.
Eight athletes worldwide make the list ahead of Brees. They are Tiger Woods at No. 15; David Beckham at No. 19; Cristiano Ronaldo at No. 31; Lionel Messi at No. 39; and Usain Bolt at No. 48.
Also on the list: Rafael Nadal at No. 51; Phil Mickelson at No. 52; Serena Williams at No. 56; Maria Sharapova at No. 62; Manny Pacquiao at No. 78; Brady's wife Gisele Bundchen at No. 81; Floyd Mayweather at No. 88; and Danica Patrick at No. 91.
The American team sport performers — there were four, the aforementioned two each from the NFL and NBA — play in leagues with salary caps, likely the biggest drag on the measured income. Between salary restraints, lesser endorsements and the NFL's propensity for promoting teams over individuals, Brees (listed at $51 million for June 2012-13, thanks largely to his new contract and $37 million signing bonus a year ago) and Brady ($38 million) lag far behind James ($60 million).
NFL players never heavily populate Forbes' list — in fact, for several years, none made the cut. In 2011, Brady and Peyton Manning appeared, and repeated last year (Manning was 40th, Brady 60th). Ironically, the emergence of this exclusive group coincides both with the seasons following the lockout and new labor agreement, and with new contracts for stars at the league's glamour position with a combined 40 seasons and eight Super Bowl appearances.
Forbes' annual list, compiled since 1999, is not a strict numerical, objective ranking; the highest earner is not automatically on top of the list. Technically, it's a "power" rating, and income is only part of the equation, although, the magazine explains, "earnings carry the most rate." The formula, it says, takes into account "entertainment-related earnings plus media visibility (exposure in print, television, radio and online)."
It includes celebrities from every area of entertainment, although it noted that it reworked the formula to de-emphasize reality-show personalities.
Oprah Winfrey topped the list after coming in second the previous two years.

Rain is still as popular as before

Rain
South Korean pop icon, Rain, was discharged from serving two years of mandatory military service yesterday morning. Despite being away from the entertainment scene for some time, the singer was well-received by a large crowd of fans.
700 fans, including local and overseas followers from Hong Kong, Japan and America, turned up yesterday. These fans made a special trip to mark the actor-singer’s return to civilian life despite his abrupt cancellation of a previously arranged fan meet. Some of them were even close to tears when the star walked out in his military uniform.
Earlier on in January, the 31-year-old K-pop star was confined to his barrack for seven days after being caught for secretly meeting his actress girlfriend, Kim Tae Hee, while he was still on official duty.
Trying to keep a low profile, Rain kept his answers short and avoided sharing details about his punishment when he received interviews yesterday morning. Instead, the pop icon announced his official return to showbiz and his hopes for a career under Cube Entertainment.

The Glyndebourne Experience: With an Anthropologie Garden Party

 Glyndebourne
 Glyndebourne
I have lived in the UK now for nearly 14 years and I had pretty much thought I had seen it all when it comes to the social scene in this part of the world. However, earlier this week I had a true "pinch me" moment in being exposed to what has officially become my favourite social event of the summer. Picture this: a country house, men in tuxedos, women in gowns, picnic tables spread out across lush green lawns surrounded by fields of frolicking sheep, champagne flowing freely and an opera house waiting to provide you with stellar entertainment for the evening. Such is the way of life for those who frequent The Glyndebourne Festival Opera

We made our way out to Glyndebourne on a Thursday afternoon. I was invited by Anthropologie, to take part in the night to remember and we were to have a few surprises from the brand along the way. Our train departed London Victoria at just after two and we arrived at Lewes station at just after three. It's about a 5-10 minute cab ride to the actual house, so our feet officially set onto the grounds at around 3:30. While the opera doesn't actually start until 5:30, guests arrive early to set up elaborate picnics with friends and family on the surrounding lawns of Glyndebourne.

Our picnic, we learned, had been set up for us already. Upon arriving, we were led through the beautiful countryside to our table and chairs, which had been set up with a view of the beautiful lake on the grounds. We were most certainly spoiled with a table set by Anthropologie for the occasion. Glyndebourne's own champagne was being poured upon arrival and we sat and took in the beauty of our surroundings as we sipped and marveled at how 14 years had passed and somehow never before had this been a part of FFG's official summer event calendar.

To start with, it should be said that The Glyndebourne Festival Opera is not an event people take lightly. This is a serious night out, from planning one's attire to inventing the perfect three course meal to accompany your pre-opera, intermission and post-opera socialising. I, as you might expect, wore all Anthropologie (all details of outfit and table settings below). Compliments were passed back and forth between the women in attendance on their ensembles. My choice of a bold yellow seemed to go down a treat with the regulars. And, as one would expect, our table setting received a great deal of attention. I think we were most definitely classified as "women in the know" with a set up that was on par with the finest of diners in the area. The only thing I wished we had brought was a set of candles. Yes, there were dozens of diners that took the opportunity to make this a romantic evening, complete with a dining experience by candlelight. I can't possibly put across in words how very Jane Austen this whole experience is. It truly does feel as if you have stepped back in time in one of the most romantic centuries in existence. I could have stayed there forever. Alas, the night's true entertainment was just ahead.

At 5:30pm, the bells rang to alert guests that the Opera was about to begin. We left our table and picnic basket and made our way over to the concert hall. Naturally, we stopped for one glass of champagne with friends on the grounds before making our way to our seats, just in the nick of time. The opera of the night was Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and let me just tell you that we had been forewarned that we would be seduced by Figaro's swaying hips. Hips aside, I was completely seduced by the whole experience itself. The opera is truly a beautiful form of art that I do believe everyone should experience at least once in their lives. This emotional rollercoaster ride, all shared through song on the stage, is beautifully set to live music from the London Philharmonic Orchestra and saw much laughter, many tears and more than one moment of true and complete adoration for the talent displayed on stage. Before we knew it, however, the production had come to a halt to allow us all to rejoin our picnic parties and indulge in the beautiful picnics that had been provided by Glyndebourne for the evening.

Awaiting us at our Anthropologie picnic table was a surf and turf setup. Didn't I tell you this wasn't your ordinary picnic? My guest and I shared plates of lobster and beef, with sides of fresh tomatoes with mozzarella and new potatoes. Dessert was a very typical english setup - strawberries and cream, as well as an elaborate cheese plate. And of course all of this was being washed down with more decadence - champagne. See where I'm going here with the "pinch me" moment. With the British sun setting over the patchwork hills of England and the sounds of lambs roaming around the fields, this just couldn't possibly have been a more incredible moment to remember.

As 8:30 came around we were once again summoned into the Opera House to see how this epic romance would end. Now, it must be said that there is a reason why Glyndebourne itself seems so hopelessly romantic from the start. It's foundation is actually found in a love story. In the early 1900's,  John Christie, owner of the manor since 1913, was holding regular amateur opera nights in the organ room on the estate. This is a room you can still enter today on the grounds. In 1931, soprano Audrey Mildmay attended one of the evenings and left with the owner's heart. Christie and Mildmay were married that June and during their honeymoon they attended several opera festivals in Europe, which gave them the idea to start one of their own at Glyndebourne. 80 years later, here we stand.

Of course, a lot has changed in 80 years. For starters, Glyndebourne receives 100% of the energy needed for the company from a wind turbine on site. And, what started out as a relatively small gathering of people has evolved into a theatre that now hosts 1200 guests for each performance. Ticket prices, I imagine have increased as well, ranging now from £10-300 now, and selling out regularly. Although that doesn't mean Glyndebourne isn't constantly trying to engage the masses. The opera tours around the country, as well as showcasing performances in 200 cinemas. They even have a special scheme for the under 30s to try and attract and keep a younger audience. They've thought of everything.

People of the world - this is an experience not to be missed. I must say it now has an official place on my calendar, whenever I can get tickets!

Thank you, Glynebourne and Anthropologie, for a true night of magnificent memories.
