Helen Flanagan looks like Lady Penelope in a bright pink skirt suit while handing out flyers
Helen Flanagan has never been shy
about her love for Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf's style, but it looks
like Helen Flanagan had a different TV character in mind when she
stepped out in a bright pink skirt suit from Topshop.
The former Coronation Street star looked like Lady Penelope from Thunderbirds as she took to the streets of Liverpool to hand out flyers and drum up some support for the reality series Celebrity Superspa.
Wearing towering heels, a face full of make-up and her blonde hair coiffed in a retro style, Helen, 23, certainly had the plastic doll look of Penelope going for her too.
But it doesn't seem like Helen was
going for the International Rescue look, rather the '90s aesthetic of
Alicia Silverstone as Cher in Clueless.
Her stylist tweeted a picture of her actress client with the message: 'My gorgeous girly dressed as Cher from clueless . Styled by me for her birthday weekend'.
Certainly the mini skirt was on point, but the Bel Air high-schooler wouldn't have been wearing six inch peep-toe heels to hand out flyers on the Mersey street.
Helen was pounding the pavement in her Louboutin's as part of the new Channel 5 series which will see celebrities learn how to perform beauty treatments under the tutelage of celebrity hairdresser Herbert Howe.
The
programme is filmed in Herbert’s Liverpool salon, and joining Flanagan
are TOWIE's James 'Arg' Argent, chefs John Burton Race and Rustie Lee,
ex-Shameless actor Jody Latham and Most Haunted star, Yvette Fielding.
Luckily for Helen she has found a friend in Arg, who helped her celebrate her 23rd birthday the night before, but in typical laddish fashion, the Essex boy couldn't help but try and embarrass his new mate.
What action Helen performed to warrant such a tacky tweet isn't specified, but as she herself had posted a photo of Arg tucking into a MacDonald's meal.
Not exactly an unusual act image of the fast food loving reality star.

Thunderbirds are go! Helen Flanagan does her best Lady Penelope impression in a pink skirt suit
She's a lady! Peneloped was the pink-loving secret agent from Internation Rescue in Thunderbirds

Clueless? apparently helen was going for the Cher look from the '90s teen comedy
Flyer girl: The former Corrie star was handing out pamphlets to promote the reality show Celebrity Superspa
Fan support: The actress happily posed for photos outside Herbert Howe's salon
Luckily for Helen she has found a friend in Arg, who helped her celebrate her 23rd birthday the night before, but in typical laddish fashion, the Essex boy couldn't help but try and embarrass his new mate.
Don't think you're supposed to hit them Helen: The 23-year old's sales tactics didn't seem to be going down well
Matching: Helen found a potential customer as in love with pink as she is
High-five: It seems the reality star has got one young shopper interested in a Helen Flanagan makeover
How rude: James Argent sent an inappropriate tweet of Helen during the day
Tweeting a picture from the set, Argent wrote: 'Somebodys got a NIPPLE ERECTION!!! Haha @helenflanagan1 #Payback'.What action Helen performed to warrant such a tacky tweet isn't specified, but as she herself had posted a photo of Arg tucking into a MacDonald's meal.

Susanna Reid bravely opts for denim jacket and jeans ensemble as she goes make-up free for day out
Her
transition from BBC Breakfast staple to ITV golden girl has been
stuttering at best, but presenter Susanna Reid took her mind off
plummeting ratings with a quiet stroll close to her South London home on
Friday.
The
43-year-old is currently co-presenting Good Morning Britain with Ben
Shepherd, the glossy replacement for doomed breakfast show Daybreak.
But
while viewers are familiar with her glamorous TV appearance, she was
dressed down and make-up free as she strolled on a bright, sunny day in
the capital.
Out and about: Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid enjoyed a quiet stroll in South London on Friday
Susanna
had bravely opted for a double denim look in a jacket and skinny jeans
following a brief shopping trip, and she matched the ensemble with a
blue and white striped top and nude flats.
Opting
to pull her dark locks away from her face, attention was drawn to the
bubbly presenter’s distinct lack of make-up – a marked difference to her
immaculate appearance on the Good Morning Britain sofa.
Susanna’s
new role has been undermined by a worrying drop in viewing figures,
with just 339,000 tuning in for the Bank Holiday Monday edition – almost
50% down the 800,000 it attracted for its launch on April 28.
True blue: There was a definite theme as TV presenter Susanna ventured out close to her South London home
All change: Susanna as viewers are used to seeing her on Good Morning Britain (L) and make-up free in South London (R)
Looking good: But Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd's new breakfast show has been undermined by plummeting ratings
She
was also ordered to leave entertainer Freddie Starr’s home during a
taped interview after she asked him whether his behaviour during a
career spanning some 50-years could have been 'misrepresented’ as sexual
abuse.
Last
week the 71-year-old was released from bail more than 18 months after
his first arrest for sex offences, an ordeal which left him suicidal and
a physical wreck.
Susanna
and partner Dominic Cotton, the father of her three sons, separated in
February, but speaking in March she admitted they were still on good
terms.

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard says fiancée Christine Bleakley is his 'best friend' in new interview
Frank Lampard has opened his heart to talk about his relationship with Christine Bleakley.
The Chelsea footballer said during an interview with Red magazine, that his TV presenter love is his ‘best friend’.
‘People say opposites attract, but when you live together, you need to be harmonious, and she’s my best friend,’ Lampard, 35, told the magazine.
‘She’s made me content,’ he continues. ‘That sounds soppy, but I’ve been very happy since I’ve been with her. Our personalities are very similar. I’ve got a lot of respect for what she says – she’s sharp.
'I bounce my problems off her, and I’d like to think I help her with her stuff, too.’
Frank also reveals how much he loves the fact his daughters, from his relationship with Elen Rivas; get on so well with Christine, 35.
‘[Christine and the girls] will now gang up on me,’ the footballer said. ‘For me, that’s great, because going into a relationship, the step-parent role is hard. To get to the point where I see the girls saying, “We’ve got Chris, and we’re doing this,” is brilliant.’
He added: ‘I had a year of being a single dad and it was tough. Even now, we have our moments – when I’ve come back from work and I’ve lost, and they’ve made a mess in their room, you get frustrated.
‘It’s certainly helped me having Christine and the bond that has grown between her and the girls.’
With his daughters now nearing their teenage years, Frank says he doesn’t want to spoil them, so they can go out and earn their own money when the time comes, and appreciate it more.
He said: ‘Emotionally, I give them loads and as much time as I can; and at Christmas and birthdays, I do my best – but I don’t want to get carried away, because I don’t want a brat of 13 or 14.
‘I want them to go out and earn their own money and enjoy it. They get £5 a week pocket money, but they have to make their beds, tidy their rooms and show good manners.’
He may soon be seeing a lot more of his girls as Frank is unsure how long he’ll be at Stamford Bridge, or in the game of football.
'I don’t know if I’ll be at Chelsea next season... you know your shelf life, so I started to mentally prepare when I hit 30. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so there’s a part of me that’s looking forward to the future.’

TOWIE star Sam flaunts her toned body as she jets to Dubai for stunning new bikini shoot
She’s
looking ahead to her new role as an aunt as older sister Billie prepares
for the birth of her first child, but Sam Faiers focused on the day job
last week when she peeled off for a new bikini shoot.
The
23-year-old TOWIE babe jetted off to Dubai for the new shoot, which
finds her modelling a neon blue and lilac striped bikini on the beach.
Sam,
who recently holidayed in the UAE with pregnant sister Billie and
mother Suzanne Wells, was on form as she struck a series of smouldering
poses.
On form: TOWIE babe Sam Faiers looks stunning in a new series of bikini shots taken in Dubai
One
such shot finds her stretched across the wet sand close to the water’s
edge, while another relies on a wooden backdrop as she stands with one
hand arched behind her head.
Sam
shows off an all over natural tan in her latest set of images – the
result of her recent trips to sunny Dubai, fast becoming a holiday
destination of choice for TOWIE stars old and new.
The
boutique co-owner also reveals an incredibly slender frame as she
continues to battle Crohn’s Disease – the painful inflammatory bowel
condition she was diagnosed with following an appearance on Celebrity
Big Brother in February.
Keep it zipped: Sam's skimpy bikini came with some interesting zipped embellishments
Speaking
to Now magazine last week, Sam commented: 'I'm naturally quite a curvy
girl, so before CBB I trained really hard because I was desperate to go
from a size 10 to an 8.
But when I got ill and dropped more weight, it put things in perspective. All my stressing about being skinny didn't matter - what's important is that your healthy, happy and feeling good in your clothes'.
The TV personality is now back with her former costar and love of her life Joey Essex, and her life is going in a different direction.

She added: 'I'll never diet again. I'll never drive myself as mad as I did because when I was thin I didn't feel sexy.'
During the interview she had also admitted that she had allowed herself to eat whatever she wanted while away.
Following
her exit from the scripted reality show, Sam has moved on to bigger and
better things after being signed with Elite Models – a top agency which
also represents Kendall Jenner.
Sultry: The 23-year-old TV personalty poses in her neon blue and lilac striped bikini during her latest shoot in sunny Dubai
Her
feelings were again echoed in an interview with Cosmopolitan's Body
magazine recently. She told them: 'It sounds crazy to hear myself say
this, but I absolutely embrace my Crohn’s disease.
'It
has caused me agonising pain, made me cry, stopped me from eating,
drinking and clubbing, and it has slimmed down my once curvy body.'
Before
adding: 'But it has also changed my life and it’s changed me. It’s been
a rough journey, and it is most definitely not over, but now I can see
that a lot of the changes are good.'

Alexandra Shipp Replaces Zendaya In Aaliyah Lifetime Biopic
Lifetime found a new actress to replace Zendaya in its Aaliyah biopic. The iconic R&B singer will now be played by Nickelodeon star Alexandra Shipp, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed, before Lifetime tweeted the news:
Zendaya backed out of the made-for-TV movie last month and her rep confirmed she was "no longer involved with the film." At the time, Lifetime's PR department released a statement on Twitter: "We are sad Zendaya will no longer portray Aaliyah. Production is currently on hold." She was scheduled to record four songs to appear in the movie.
Production will resume this summer and Lifetime still plans on releasing "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B" in the fall as planned. The project is set to trace Aaliyah's career from her first performance on "Star Search" to her untimely death in 2001. She was killed in a plane crash at 22. Wendy Williams has also joined the TV movie as an executive producer.
News of the biopic made waves with members of the late singer's family. Her cousin, Jomo Hankerson, has said publicly that they would make it hard for the network to gain rights, masters and images for the film. He also told the New York Daily News that members of the family weren't happy the film would be made for TV instead of the big screen. “This needs A-list actors, A-list talent that can breathe life into what we think is a phenomenal story," he said in June.
Shipp is best known for the Nickelodeon series "House of Anubis" in which she plays Kara Tatiana Rush. She is also featured in Season 2 of "Ray Donovan."

Cara Delevingne makes a stunning entrance to London Fashion Week in sheer lace blouse as she hosts W magazine party
There were fears she may not turn up at London Fashion Week after recently complaining about how 'horrible' it was.
However, despite her misgivings, Cara Delevingne made a stunning entrance to this season's Fashion Week as she gave a sexy twist to a trouser suit.
The model, 21, showed her cheeky side as she went braless in a sheer lace blouse underneath a metallic trouser suit as she arrived at a LFW party.
She completed her androgynous-meets-sexy ensemble with a pair of black heels, with her hair in small plaits and heavy eyeliner.
Cara was the host of the W magazine party at the London Edition Hotel to celebrate the September issue, which featured her on the cover.
Despite flying in from New York on Friday following a turn on the catwalk on the Marc Jacobs show on Thursday, there was no sign of jetlag on the model as she partied with her pals.
Joining Cara at the party was pop star Ellie Goulding, fellow model Jourdan Dunn and TV personality Kelly Osbourne.
Jourdan made a late pit-stop at the party after earlier live tweeting during an episode of The X Factor.
The mother-of-one, 23, showed off her long legs in a black and gold pleated skirt and matching blazer.
As fashion fans will know, Cara opened up on her battle with psoriasis in the September issue of W, admitting it flared up during the last London Fashion Week.
She told the publication: 'It only happened during the Fashion Weeks, which are, of course, the worst time of year for me to be covered in scabs. Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease, and I’m sensitive.
'Kate Moss saw me before the Louis Vuitton show at 3am when I was being painted by people to cover the scabs.
'She said, "This is horrible! Why is this happening? I need to help you." She got me a doctor that afternoon.'
Cara's 'saviour' Kate also was a late arrival at the W party, having earlier attended a Longchamp bash.
Meanwhile, Cara hit the headlines earlier this month when she declared Fashion Week was 'horrible'.
She told Industrie magazine: 'I mean it isn't horrible really, it's amazing. But having to work that much every day is.
'What I find hard is having to deal with all the people and all the c**p. It's when the press and fans are following me most, and it's when I work the hardest, so it's kind of like, f**k.'

'Worth every penny!': Top footballer who had sex with Katie Price was fined £25,000 by his club when his furious boss found out
Ricksen (left) and Katie Price (right). Ricksen writes about being fined £25,000 after sleeping with the glamour model in his new book Fighting Back: The Fernando Ricksen Story
A footballer says paying £25,000 fine from his club for sleeping with Katie Price was worth it.
Fernando Ricksen, who used to play for Rangers, took the glamour model for a private dance with two strippers and then had sex with her at a hotel, the Sun reports.
The ex-Rangers player, who has recently revealed on Dutch TV that he has just five years to live after being diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease, wrote the confession in his new book.
He said: ' The sex was amazing - it was a once-in-a-lifetime I will never, ever forget.'
Katie Price, 35, who was known as Jordan at the time, hadn't got together with Peter Andre at the time and newly-single Ricksen, 37, wrote he was 'on the prowl' after splitting with his wife.
The pair met at a party in Glasgow ten years ago when Katie sat on Ricksen's lap.
He took her to a strip club before they spent the night at the £450-a night luxury hotel.
Soon news reached his bosses and, as Ricksen writes, they were far from happy.
He said: 'I was all over the front pages and looking back shagging Jordan was only going to have one result but I took the club fine - happily.

'My night of passion with Jordan cost me £25,000 - it was worth every penny.
Ricksen, who had been warned about his behaviour by the club before, says he was applauded by his teammates.
Illness: Former Rangers star Fernando Ricksen broke down in tears on Dutch TV as he revealed he has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease
'They were cheering and yelling. The next thing I saw was the front page of the papers, they were waving them in the air.
'They were stuck on my locker. Everywhere.'
'I was having problems with my ex-wife Graciela and we'd split up. I was on the prowl again. That night I was damn proud of myself - banging Jordan was one hell of an achievement.'
MailOnline have attempted to contact Katie Price for comment.

Holly Willoughby expresses relief after undergoing throat surgery to remove the same type of vocal nodules Adele suffered
Holly Willoughby is celebrating the sucess of the surgery performed to remove nodules from her throat.
And after her doctors successfully removed the 'vocal calluses' Holly tweeted her joy on Friday evening.
Joking about the procedure, which Adele also undertook to restore her voice, Holly hopes that like the Grammy-award winning singer, she'll match her achievements.
The This Morning presenter tweeted: 'Phew! Nodules gone, operation a success. After Adele had hers done, she won a Grammy... Fingers crossed! Xxx'
Holly was referring to the laser treatment called Green Light KTP, a new surgery which previously was only available in the U.S. but now is becoming common practice in the UK.
‘They are covered with a layer of tissue similar to skin. With use, this layer thickens.
'With heavy use, the thickening may localise, producing a nodule that is a smooth, soft benign lump containing mostly blood and blood vessels.’
While most disappear with rest, some remain, become severe and require surgery. Mr Dilkes fully backs the Green Light KTP: 'The light beams are extremely accurate and vaporise nodules without damage to surrounding tissue. This is useful on vocal cords, where scarring causes long-term damage to the voice.'
Specifically, Adele had 'hemorrhaged vocal cords' which were treated by Dr. Steven Zeitels, director of the Voice Centre at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Zeitels has previously treated singers including Steven Tyler, Julie Andrews and Roger Daltrey, but says these type of vocal injuries are also common in TV presenters and pundits - like Holly - as well as busy stock brokers screaming on the trading floor.
Another singer to have successfully undertook the throat surgery is The Wanted's Nathan Sykes.
The 20-year-old underwent the surgery in April of this year, which was aired in an episode of the band's E! reality show The Wanted Life, along with his recovery over the rest of the series.
Nathan made his musical comeback, onstage in July as The Wanted performed at the Capital FM Summertime Ball in London.
Surrounded by his bandmates, who embraced him during his emotional return, the singer confessed: 'Moments like this is what I live for - If I died right now, I die a happy man. You know what - I'm home.'
