Quay Australia are the sunglasses brand that seem to be on everyones lips this year. The super cool brand make a variety of sunglassses in so many different styles ad patterns with something to suit everyones needs. From oversized retro bug eyed shapes to intridcate metal designs and festival ready looks.

The ones Im wearing in the photos are actually one of three I have in that style (I have brown tortishell and black) and I simply adore them. The cat eye shape is really flattering on my face shape and conicidently the shape of sunglasses I like the most. I always get compliments whenever I wear them, Even to the point where people stop me on the street and ask me where they are from!

Quay Australia are a seriously cool brand and I totally recommend checking them out. They are stocked on Topshop and on ASOS so give them a little browse fo'sho!

Style Update: Wearing white for a Venetian adventure

Last week in New York I happened to run my fingers over the most beautiful off white, cream even, Grecian style dress at Madewell in the Upper East Side. Madewell has long been a go-to store for summer dress shopping, but this season they step above and beyond the call of duty in their creations. Case in point, this beauty! I wasn't leaving the store without it... and so it was. Alright, now I have to admit I'm headed back in store tomorrow in Los Angeles to purchase a few more. I can't help myself. Someone take my Amex!

In all honesty though, folks, this dress is the easiest thing on earth to wear. It has a deep v-neck, so for my strolls in Venice I paired the dress with a nude colored bralet, that looked a part of the ensemble, and layered several necklaces to keep things "polite." Paired with the new Louis Vuitton Volta shoulder bag and some simple croc sandals, this was a look that saw me through a rather hot and muggy day in Venice with little "outfit distraction." You know what I mean by that, right? Outfit distraction is when you wear one thing out for a day on the town and half way through your day you realize this was not the right outfit to wear at all, for whatever reason, and your day officially has a black cloud over it. Not the case here, oh no!

15 ways to feel better about yourself

ways to feel better about yourself
ways to feel better about yourself
ways to feel better about yourself

SMILE
Smiling, even a silly little fake smile is linked to lifting your mood. Plus you look awesome when you smile.

TAKE THAT COMPLIMENT ALREADY!
If someone praises you, smile and say thanks—don't argue or play the whole thing down. Accept that compliment they wouldn’t have given it to you if it wasn’t true!!

MAKE DECISIONS
When people have low confidence, they tend to over think pretty much every
Making a decision no matter how big or small will make you feel stronger and more capable

STOP SAYING SORRY
As humans we seem to be programmed to apologise all the time, especially when you’re feeling insecure. I swear I start all my vlogs saying “Sorry about my hair” but when in reality theres probably nothing wrong with it! Try to do one day without unnecessarily saying, "I'm sorry.

REWARD YOURSELF
Always give yourself credit for the things to achieve, no matter how big or small. Try making a list of things you have done rather than things you haven’t, it’s more satisfying than a list of unticked things!

STOP THINKING PEOPLE DONT LIKE YOU
Chances are most people either like you or are indifferent to you. When you meet new people always presume that everyone likes you, its so simple and makes your life so much easier.

RECOVER FROM FAILURE
Sometimes failure is inevitable, and we all have bumps in the rocky road thats called life. Just try to acccept that it will happen occasionally and you will move on from it.

LET YOURSELF MAKE MISTAKES
Everyone makes mistakes. It’s simply part of what makes us humans! PS. Most of the time the only person who notices you making a mistake is yourself!

MANAGE EXPECTATIONS
Be realistic about the things you could achieve. If you want to loose weight then set yourself a realistic first goal and then an overall goal you’d like to reach. This way you aren’t setting yourself up for disappointment from the start.

DONT BE JEALOUS
Avoid those green eyed monster feelings as they can bring negative thoughts in for no reason. In life we don’t have to always be the best at things all the time.

LET THE GOOD THINGS STICK OUT
A lot of the time we tend to dwell on the negative aspects of life compared to the good ones. Try writing down all the good things that happen in your life and keep them in a jar so you can look back on them when you’re feeling low.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
You can do anything that you put your mind to. Try learning a new skill or pick up something you tried before and gave up. Do things you enjoy and you’re more likely to succeed!

STOP PROCRASTINATING
Don’t avoid thing and put them off till the last possible moment. It’s a huge confidence killer and the harder you work towards a goal the better you’ll feel once it’s done.

VISUALISE SUCESS
Let your mind wander and day dream about the things you want to get done. Theres nothing wrong with having high hopes in the world as long as you create realistic steps to getting there.

Top 10 must see and do in New York City Summer 2015

Everyone has their list of things they have to do in New York City. I imagine you'll find the Empire State Building, shopping at Barney's, strolling through Central Park and night-timing it in Times Square among the top "things to do" while in New York City. Fair enough, those are all good things to put on the list. But this summer, the summer of 2015, may I suggest a few more unique adventures that are truly moments that will not only show you a real New York, but will also make your memories that much more outstanding? Sure, some are luxurious and cost a pretty penny, but others (in fact most) are close to free. So without further ado, here are my top ten must do activities for New York City for the summer of 2015

1. Have lunch at Bergdorf Goodman's
There is nowhere else in New York City where you will feel less like a tourist and more like a part of the establishment than at Bergdorf's. There's a reason the women of Manhattan say they'd like to have their ashes scattered in this heaven on earth. It's luxury at it's finest, with a killer view of Central Park. If you go and you don't order the lobster mac'n'cheese, you will be missing out on one of life's greatest dishes.

2. Visiting The new Whitney Museum of American Art in the Meatpacking District
The Whitney has moved, people. Remember this as I don't want you turning up in completely the wrong part of town. They moved from posh to meat. Well, the Meatpacking District to be exact. The move has seen the establishment reposition itself at the bottom of the High Line with spectacular views both inside and out. This is worth the trip for the art alone, but the windows overlooking New York will take your breathe away.

3. Taking time to stop at The September 11th Memorial and Museum
Pack a kleenex box and ask your taxi driver to drop you here on your first day. No place in this city will make you understand the love, patriotism and raw emotion that runs through every New Yorker like that of the September 11th memorial. I found myself wanting to hold the hand of my neighbour as I watched water disappear into the void below me, but instead took out my camera and tried to capture the love and appreciation that was on display around me. We shall never forget.

4. Enjoying a view of New York City like you've never seen before form the One World Trade Center Observation Deck
When you have finished taking in the ground below, take time to shoot up and rejoice in new construction and a powerful message that waits for you atop the One World Trade Center Observation Deck. I'll just say that the big reveal will make your heart swell.

5. Reading the benches in Central Park
We're all so busy running through Central Park that most people never take the time to look at the details around them. For example - did you know that the park benches in Central Park have dedications? One morning, after a long run, I took about an hour to stop and read as many as I could. I was taken in by the love on display in each and every one - some funny, some sad, but all displaying memories and sharing stories.

6. Challenging the best at their game in chess
While you're in Central Park, try your hand at a game of chess. You'll be hard pressed to find chess with a better view anywhere else on earth. But be warned, the men that play here are pros. Watch your king!

7. Hiking the High Line
The High Line may just be one of my favourite places in New York. The nearly 1.5 mile stretch of repurposed railway line is home to benches, gardens, restaurants and conveniently placed ice cream trollies, for those looking for a relaxing way to enjoy New York City from above. The views along your walk are spectacular! Make this happen.

8. Breakfast at Gene's Coffee Shop off Park Ave
When I asked the concierge for a good diner near the hotel, he had only one suggestion - Gene's. Now, I'm in love. For simple, great and classic American breakfasts, this place can't be beat and the prices are exactly what you need them to be  - cheap and cheerful. Order the french toast, ask for the coffee to keep coming and enjoy the New York Times while in residence. Heaven on earth.

9. Drink coffee and eat cheese danishes at Sant Ambroeus
Don't go to Starbucks while you're in NYC. That's just what everyone else does right? And you can do that anywhere in the world. Drink coffee like a local and find an artisanal coffee shop like Saint Ambroeus. The coffee is perfection, the pastries are deadly and service comes with a smile and often with an Italian accent.

10. The Cupcake ATM
I feel like I don't really need to say anything else right now. There's a cupcake ATM in New York now at Sprinkles. Go. That's all.

And if you're headed to NYC from London, check out The Loews Regency Signature Suites as an option to stay - that's where I was when writing this little ditty. I'm obsessed!

Your Daily Shop: A cowgirl's favourite skirt

What's there to say about a skirt as perfect as this little ditty? Cath Kidston, you've taken my breath away. All those years of dreaming I was a cowgirl have all come to a head... in the print of one skirt. From the multiple cacti to the lounging cowboys, this is country western fashion at its finest. While this is today's Daily Shop, it won't be the last time you see this skirt. Oh yes, it now sits in the suitcase waiting to be styled.... in California. Watch this space.
