The former pop princess switched her designer wardrobe for a retro-inspired two-piece by Adidas, which she teamed with a navy blue hoodie, a baseball cap and trainers.
Billie was also opting for much more noticeable make-up for her new role, swapping her usually subtle look for dramatic black eyeliner and a slick of pillar-box red lipstick as she chatted to her co-stars on set.
And in between takes, the mother-of-two made sure to enjoy a nicotine fix as she puffed away contentedly on a cigarette and sipped on a coffee.

Billie will return to the small screen on November 23 when she will reprise her role as plucky Londoner Rose Tyler for the 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who.
Her return comes after taking a break in the aftermath of 2010's End of Time Part Two, which saw the tenth Doctor - played by David Tennant - regenerate.
Billie's character was last seen in a parallel universe with a cloned version of the tenth Doctor, but now that eleventh Doctor is trapped in his time stream with new companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) it seems we'll be visiting them again.

The former pop star was praised earlier this month by Steven Moffat, who claimed the programme ‘belonged’ to her after when it returned to TV screens back in 2005.
He said: ‘I think those first two years, it was Billie Piper’s show, It was all about Billie and Billie as Rose.’
Before adding: ‘She has a bigger status than most of those companions and really seriously, for the first two years, that was Billie Piper’s show and she was amazing.
