Sheridan Smith, Davina McCall and Laura Whitmore get leggy as they celebrate Marie Claire's 25 years of female Icons of our Time

They have become some of the most recognised faces on television thanks to their talent and dedication.

And now their star quality has been celebrated in a photo shoot by Marie Claire marking 25 years of female Icons of our Time.

Sheridan Smith has been hailed for her drama achievements alongside fellow TV actress Joanna Lumley.

Meanwhile Davina McCall and Laura Whitmore have been chosen to represent the TV presenters category.

The sultry black-and-white photo shoot was held to celebrate the 25th birthday of Marie Claire.

The magazine showcased iconic women and rising stars from the worlds of music, fashion, film, food, drama and politics, who have made an impact during that last 25 years.

Other celebrities to have been honoured include fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood and actress Gillian Anderson. 
The stars looked confident and stunning in the shoot, each wearing a distinctive outfit to reflect their personalities. 

Sheridan Smith wore an elegant, figure-flattering black gown for her shoot, playfully swishing the skirt.

The Olivier award winning star spoke to the magazine of her future ambitions.
She said: ‘If I can keep plodding along, earning a living doing what I love, I'm happy.  Maybe find a fella along the way.  That wouldn't go amiss.’
Meanwhile Davina McCall and Laura Whitmore also looked leggy in flirty black minidresses and towering heels.

Despite looking like best friends as they laughed and joked around on set, the pair had only just met on the shoot. 
Former Big Brother host Davina revealed that she has been a great fan of MTV News presenter Laura’s work.
‘I was at MTV for a long time and that's why I love Laura.
I'm nothing without a good programme,’ she said.
Laura also talked of her joy in her coveted MTV job.
She said:  ‘Lots of my friends get that Sunday-night fear before work the next day.  My job's like the weekend every day.’
