Alesha Dixon scores a rare fashion fail in mismatched polka dot blouse and brocade print skirt

It was night dedicated to the final nine performances as semi-final week drew to a close, but as she made her way onto the stage ahead of proceedings on Thursday evening judge Alesha Dixon drew attention by scoring a rare fashion fail.

The former singer caught the eye in  a garish polka dot blouse as she joined fellow judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden for the last of four semi-finals before the show closes next Saturday.

The loose fitting top, which did little to compliment her toned frame, proved to be at odds with her unusual gold and black brocade print mini-skirt, of which the saving grace proved to be a high waistline that drew attention to her slender waistline.

Rounding the ensemble off with a pair of strappy heels, Alesha was hard to miss as she settled into her seat ahead of another lively show.

Conversely, Amanda looked stunning in a sweeping peach gown, a zesty variant of the striking blue number she wore on Wednesday.

Its sleeveless detail gave the actress another opportunity to show off her toned arms, while its form fitting design clung to her slender frame.
