ITV's Coronation Street was the big winner on Saturday at the annual Soap Awards.
The
long-running show picked up eight accolades including Best Storyline
and Best Single Episode, both of which celebrated the portrayal of
Hayley Cropper's death.
It marks the second consecutive year that the series has dominated the ceremony.

It also won Best Actor for David Neilsen and Sexiest Female for Michelle Keegan, who attended in a black and white suit with her boyfriend Mark Wright.
The Best Actress award was collected by Julie Hesmondhalgh. She and Nielsen were named the Best On-screen Partnership in a separate category.
Helen Worth, who plays Gail McIntyre in the show, was given an Outstanding Achievement Award for her long-term presence and contribution.
Meanwhile, Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald, was presented with the Best Comedy Performance gong.

Eastenders
star Maddy Hill was named Best Newcomer, while the show's Company
Manager, Carolyn Wenstein, was awarded Best Off-Screen achievement.
The
BBC drama considerably underperformed at the event in Hackney Empire in
east London, where insiders were hoping it would win Best Storyline for
Lucy Beale's death.
Meanwhile, Ashley Roberts and Myleene Klass presented the Sexiest Actor award to Danny Mac from Channel 4's Hollyoaks.
The
show also picked up Best Young Performance for Ellis Hollins and
Villain of the Year for Anna Passey. It was also crowned Best British
Soap in a ruling decided by the public, and presented by Sir Ian
McKellen.
